We had the opportunity to take in Radio host, newspaper columnist and CNN host Michael Smerconish at the brand new Jewish Community Center in Kingston. The beautiful new building is the site of the old Price Chopper on Third Avenue.
When Mrs. LuLac asked him how he made the transfer from the Law to Broadcasting, he went through an outline and arc of his career. Smerconish chronicled his start as a young GOP operative when he attended Lafayette in the 1980s. He spoke about the progression of his climb, the chances he took, how fate intervened in some cases, the jobs he didn’t get and how all of that translated into his current standing as one of the mot level headed broadcasters in today's tumultuous  political atmosphere.  

About 350 people attended the sold out event. His book, “Clowns To the Left Of Me, Jokers To the Right” is a compilation of many of his favorite columns from the Philadelphia Daily News and Philly Inquirer.
It is a good read and the funds raised from the book go to charity. He was accompanied by his Producer T.C. Scornavacchi . His show is on Sirius XM POTUS Radio and he is seen on CNN Saturday Mornings at 9am.
