13 QUESTIONS

EDITOR'S NOTE: This edition was prepped for yesterday the 13th but due to the Super Bowl and Valentine Day shopping, it never made it online.
1. Your thoughts on the new County Manager, will it be an outsider?
Tough to say. 40 people applied. There are five finalists, 4 from out of town. The weeding out process most likely tells you how to predict the ultimate outcome. Experience has shown that an out of towner can work with a County Council. But the true question is and will always be can the Council work with the out of towner. In my estimation Dave Pedri as well as the current manager Romilda Crocamo were good fits. We’ll see how a super majority on Council deals with the new person.
2. Tom Brady. Greatest of all time?
Yes, even though I have a running argument with a good friend. He thinks Aaron Rodgers is the best Quarterback he’s ever seen. He is very good but he, like Farve has not led s dynasty. You must count longevity, adaptability, skill, your team structure (the Patriots served him well with a series of competent functional stars), dedication to your workouts as well as luck. Brady was lucky to have all of those things and unlike other stars used them to their fullest potential. It is for that reason that I feel Brady is in a class by himself. I count myself very fortunate to have seen the Brady-Patriot run because we will be hard pressed to see another one like it.
3. What do you think about Donald Trump and the pardons if he is re-elected?
Let’s hope people aren’t that dumb. Trump is in a death spiral. The more he says, the more he is indicting himself. He is also making it very easy to have people campaign against him. His latest missive against Lindsay Graham should give all the GOP enablers pause to consider that this man child will throw them under the bus by questioning their loyalty to the country over him. Trump is imploding and every sane person knows it.
4. Ice rink in Wilkes-Barre, great idea?
Yes indeed. One of many more to come.
5. Do you agree with Hershey’s idea to separate unvaccinated employees from those who got the jab?
Totally. I’d even go further but would wind up in court with my plan to just terminate them.
6. 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees, Dolly Parton, really?
I think Dolly falls under the category of Institution. The other nominees I can get behind, Carly Simon, Duran Duran, Lionel Richie and even Eminem.
7. What's on the David Yonki playlist at work?
I can play a radio at work and have some CDs that are homemade. They range from Train to Tony Bennett. My go to for radio stations are The River, my old stomping grounds WVIA FM and Temple Radio, WRTI FM.
8. Have you had the new McDonald’s Land and Sea sandwich with chicken?
You mean the Land, Air and Sea burger. I’ve never been a fan of mixing meats except of course for a hoagie. Two weeks ago, prior to this announcement I did have a double cheese burger and fish filet sandwich for dinner on night. But those two with chicken, nope! The air component has to do with chickens flying. They do fly but their flight time is estimated at only 13 seconds. I’m not a big fast food junkie and have divided loyalties. I prefer a Whopper from Burger King over a Big Mac. I like the McD’s fish sandwich and a Sausage McMuffin. But they are not a way of life for me but a luxury. I’ll eat them…but separately.
9. How about them Commanders?
I’d have picked the Commandos but that’s just me. Or maybe The Washington Monuments.
10. Do you watch The View?
No but don’t shriek and yell when someone has it on in a waiting room.
11. What did you think of Governor Gavin Newsom’s action when e turned down the parole of Sirhan Sirhan?
Agree 1000%. Sirhan changed the course of American history that night and killed more than a husband and father. HE killed the spirit and the future of a vastly different America that night.
12. Favorite Pancake joint. I-HOP?
Jesus no. Denny’s or Perkins.I understand the pancakes at the Avenue Diner are huge.
13. I understand you do your own cooking. Have any new favorite recipes?
Yes. I did try this and it looks good. This came from the “Just Food, No Politics” Facebook page.

1 Comments:
You are very much acquainted with local radio and have been a frequent guest on WILK. Do you understand their reasoning in giving a convicted felon, one who broke the public trust, a prime talk show spot?
Has Nancy Kman, in being the PD and hiring this criminal, lost credibility in your eyes?
