ELECTION DOUBTERS IN LUZERNE COUNTY POISONING THE WELL OF DEMOCRACY

It was striking to hear Luzerne County Election Board member  Dan Shcramm saying that he changed his mind about “cured” ballots after the ACLU corrected the negative things he heard about it. Cured ballots give a voter the opportunity to correct them at the polls instead of going directly to Penn Place. Here’s my question: who are the election deniers and doubters filling the atmosphere with absolute bullshit?

The GOP majority on Council has been attempting to undermine voting in Luzerne County at every step. One need to only look at Steve Urban Junior’s attempt to insert himself in the process a few years back. The once bi partisan, pristine and yawn inspiring Election Board has now become as dramatic as a Hitchcock thriller with the behavior of the Vide Chair. Intimidation, name calling and outright thuggery has become the norm rather than the exception.

While many voters appreciate the change in Schramm’s stance, he’d do a better public service if he’d tell us exactly where he got this bogus information. There are lying bastards among us and we need to see and hear them coming.

M&M’S CHANGE SPOKES PEOPLE

Much to my chagrin, the folks at Mars Candy have changed marketing strategy.   , M&M's announced Monday that it is taking an "indefinite pause" from using its candy-coated mascots, saying the "last thing M&M’s wanted" was to be "polarizing."

M&M’s said in a tweet that it is instead tapping actor Maya Rudolph as its spokesperson, someone the brand said "America can agree on." Rudolph replaces the anthropomorphized candy characters who had  what Mars said had “more nuanced personalities that underscored the importance of self-expression and power of community through storytelling.”

I just think the commercials were funny as hell.

MOURNING THE DIAPER DON WAY

Former President Donald Trump, speaking at a memorial service for half of the conservative duo “Diamond and Silk,” said he never really knew Silk.

Trump was among a number of Republicans who spoke at the memorial in North Carolina on Saturday for Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway, 51, who died suddenly earlier this month.

Rochelle “Silk” Richardson praised the former president for the relationship he had with her and her sister, saying Trump treated the siblings “just like the other children: Eric, Don Jr., Tiffany,” according to the Daily Mail.

Trump called Diamond one of the world’s “biggest stars,” but noted that he “didn’t know Silk at all.” Silk, in her comments about her sister, claimed that Diamond died from a plot related to anti-COVID-19 vaccination conspiracy theories.. “Instead of asking if Americans are vaxxed or unvaxxed, the real question to ask is: Are Americans being poisoned?” she asked the crowd at a church in Fayetteville, N.C.

In reference to North Carolina Trump said, ““Our beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the State she loves so much, North Carolina.” More like CRAZY TOWN, U.S.A.(AP, LuLac)
