PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

THE DEBT CEILING

To: Seniors on SS: When you don’t get your checks after June 1st, don’t blame Biden, blame Republicans. They are pulling a dangerous political stunt.

To the military: When you don’t get your pensions after risking life and limb for this country, don’t blame Biden but blame Kevin McCarthy who was just fine with the debt ceiling when Trump was President.

To disabled people on Medicaid: When you don’t get your checks for your disability or your child’s, don’t blame Biden, blame the Republicans who want to decrease funding for you but NOT close loopholes for billionaires.

To the grandparents: The Republicans will wring their hands about your grandchildren who will be saddled with debt forever. They only worry about the sainted grandkids when a Democrat is in office.

Furthermore, they were singing the same old song when you were a grand kid. It’s all crap.

Social Security folks: I saw a guy in a doctor’s office talking to the TV when they had The View on and this moron, about 80 said, “This administration hasn’t done one good thing for America!”

Hmmmm, didn’t he get a 23% raise in Social Security, the first in 50 years? Maybe he should just give it back if he’s so pissed.

To those who have retirement savings: When the markets tank, don’t blame Biden, blame the Republicans who are so financially inept they don’t realize this will collapse world markets.

To the Trumpanzees: Real Americans pay THEIR bills on time. I know you’re used to loving a deadbeat crook but that isn’t America.

Finally about those billionaires. Ask yourself this question. What in the hell has a billionaire EVER done for you?

Have to call BS on you for this one David. Republicans have agreed to raise the debt ceiling but also asked to curb/reduce spending. You forgot to mention that in your comments. Our monetary policy has created rapid inflation that has eaten up your SS increase and probably impacted your 401k and savings account. Government shutdowns don't hit payments for Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid, since Congress places those programs in the mandatory category that's exempt from the annual government funding process and therefore predominantly exempt from funding lapses. For a political expert your first statement is 100% incorrect however it is a great scare tactic. Congratulations on proving mis information to your readers of the LuLac letter. You going to print a correction tomorrow? Same for Medicaid commentary. Not true. The dollar is weak and looking to be replaced as the world currency. Like I said, a bull shit article. Since I am on the bs bandwagon the same is true for military pensions. During a federal government shutdown, military retirees and Survivor Benefit Plan recipients receive their pension checks with no interruption. That's because the funds for the pension checks are not linked to the current disputed federal budget. Was your intent to just misrepresent the truth or was this just an opinion piece? No wonder people don’t trust the media when they present opinions and not facts. If I am incorrect please let me know and I will issue an apology
