 JFK GONE @ 60 

It was sixty years ago today that President John F. Kennedy was gunned down in Dallas. For people of a certain generation, JFK is frozen in time. I'm not sure what John Kennedy would think of this world today but I have a few guesses. 

1. Having been a newspaper commentator in his early days after Harvard I think he'd love the 24 hour news cycle. 

2. As the youngest President ever elected I don't think he'd have an issue with the oldest President, fellow Catholic and Irishman Joe Biden being the President.

3. I think he'd be dismayed that a town and area that welcomed him with open arms in 1960 would make an argument that Joe Biden wasn't a real Scrantonion.   

4. Kennedy would be highly insulted that former ingrate Democrats turned Republicans who benefited  unions college loans and grants, social programs and Democratic social policies would say JFK could never be a Democrat today. He might be a conservative one but a D nonetheless. 

5.  Kennedy would have no use for those who denied science,. 

 6. I can see Kennedy being denied communion by certain priests because even though he valued life, I don’t think he’d want to take away freedoms from women over their own bodies.

7. Kennedy would be appalled by Fox news and the propaganda that he as a World War II vet fought against almost dying in the process. 

8. I think Kennedy would have an issue with as dumb as Congress that centers more on division than getting something done.

9. Kennedy would never understand the likes of Tommy Tubberville working against veterans and not for them.

10. Finally Kennedy would be crestfallen at how selfish and gullible Americans have become. They now ask “what can my country do for me by building a wall, oppressing the poor, challenging enlightenment, embracing the dark, becoming , selfish and self-absorbed” instead of asking what THEY can do for their country.
