IS THIS COUNTRY ONE

OF RETRIBUTION?

Here’s what I don’t understand. You make millions in real estate, you beat all the odds of upsetting one of the most qualified woman/person ever to run for President, you escape various probable criminal charges, then with all of that you et re-elected to another term not only by MAGA cult members but by the genera public?

When you get criticized, can’t you just let it roll off your back? I guess NOT. We have now in power a person who has serious issues regarding his own self esteem.

Two days later, after former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie criticized Trump during an appearance on ABC News’ “This Week,” this also generated a related presidential threat. The New York Times reported:

President Trump on Sunday threatened to investigate former Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey over a 2013 political scandal, days after the F.B.I. raided the home and office of another former Trump official turned critic. Mr. Trump made the threat on social media after Mr. Christie said during an appearance on ABC News that the president ‘doesn’t care’ about maintaining a separation between his office and criminal investigations.

Christie’s criticism was mild. In fact Christie even said he doubted Trump had anything to do with Epstein but apparently he missed that.

In case that wasn’t quite enough, the president apparently also saw Maryland Gov. Wes Moore on CBS News’ “Face the Nation,” leading Trump to pitch yet another threat. NBC News reported:

The president on Sunday also threatened to pull federal funding for the replacement of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which collapsed in 2024. The federal government had previously agreed to pay for the bridge’s replacement. ‘I gave Wes Moore a lot of money to fix his demolished bridge,’ Trump wrote. ‘I will now have to rethink that decision???’

So Trump goes after Christie for bridge gate and wants him investigated but then goes after Moore to rescind funding on a bridge that residents depend on?

Dosen’ he have better things to do with his time?

The published threat was accompanied by nonsensical claims about crime rates in Baltimore — a city that’s seen its murder rate drop to a 50-year low — and an attack on the Democratic governor’s military service. (Moore is a decorated combat veteran who served in Afghanistan.)

Perhaps the most telling comment from Christie was when he said the American people VOTED for this. He told you what you were going to be getting so don’t act shocked when all this comes down. (MSNBC, NBC, LuLac, AP)

MEUSER

PROMOTES BBB

Congressmen Dan Meuser spent last Tuesday focused on two hallmarks of Pennsylvanian life — agriculture and the Little League World Series.

In the afternoon, Meuser joined community members and local leaders at The Farm Store in Pottsville for an event hosted by Americans for Prosperity and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.

The gathering highlighted provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill and their potential to strengthen the state’s agricultural sector, bolster small businesses, and increase Pennsylvanians’ access to fresh, local food, according to Meuser.

“It was great people and a great atmosphere,” Meuser said as he prepared to walk on West Fourth Street. “We talked about all the advantages that the farming community will now have because of the (OBBB) — new crop insurance plans, help with droughts and floods, and some important business initiatives.”

The bill’s provisions aim to expand opportunities for farm-to-family operations, which Meuser described as delivering “very healthy, quality products in a much more affordable way” to rural communities.

The Pottsville event also featured gift cards for the first 100 visitors and brought together state and county officials, including Sen. Dave Argall, Reps. Joanne Stehr and Tim Twardzick, and Schuylkill County Commissioner Larry Padora.

Just hours later, Meuser traded the farm store for the festive streets of Williamsport, where he participated in the Little League parade for the sixth time since being elected to Congress.
