TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH-ELECTION DAY-VOTE!!!!!!
PREDICTIONS
I've been asked if I'm going to make predictions this election season, well, I'll make some non binding observations instead on some of the races. Let's start with Lackawanna County.
LACKAWANNA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
O'BRIEN, MUNCHAK AND CORDARO, I just have this hunch Cordaro can pull it out.
MAYFIELD BOROUGH: Two of the insurgents win.
SCRANTON COUNCIL: One Democrat, one Republican wins, most likely Courtright and Rogan.
LUZERNE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
PETRILLA, SKREPENAK AND URBAN in that order. Skrep has taken a lot of hits in the battle and you might see him losing a tad bit of support. But enough to win.
SHERIFF: STANKUS with less than 3,000 votes. Last minute push by Lisa Baker in the Back Mountain puts him over.
RECORDER OF DEEDS: DYSLESKI by 5,000 votes.
WILKES BARRE MAYOR: LEIGHTON by less than 1500.
WILKES BARRE CITY COUNCIL: District A, Griffith has his work cut out for him trying to overcome Rick Cronauer's huge primary margin. But Cronaurer is relying a lot on the machine and that may or may not help.
District B, Incumbent Tony Thomas squeaks by Tony George with less than 50 votes to spare.
District C, Dem Kathy Kane over Peter Gagliardi who has emerged as the best kept secret the County GOP has among articulate candidates.
District D, Bill Barrett over Stets. It'll be huge because Stets is concentrating on the Mayor's seat.
District E, Mike Merritt, huge. He has worked his ass off, shown up at meetings, been door to door twice in the district and sticks to his opinions even though you might not agree with him. Is John Yencha still alive?
HAZLETON: Mayor, Lou Barletta, hate sells.
These are my impressions, Mrs. LuLac and I usually cancel each other out. Go vote. Use your head or your heart. Either will work.
3 Comments:
Washo and O'Brien in a landslide.
31% each
Hi Dave,
Really out on a limb with Barletta. Didn't he win the dem and rep nod in the primary. LOL
Joe
Voted this morning. Paper Ballots easy and simple. Turnout looked pretty good at 8AM in Lackawanna County. Predict Washo/OBrien in a decisive victory.
