Political analyst for WBRE TV's Pa. Live program and post election commentator for WBRE TV's Eyewitness News Daybreak show. Author of the book "A Radio Story/We Wish You Well In Your Future Endeavors" and "Leges Vitae" "26 Rules of Life" and the new novel, "Weather Or Knot". The blog editor also writes various news articles and columns as well as upcoming literary projects. The blog editor was a frequent guest on WYOU TV'S INTERACTIVE NEWSCASTS when political issues were discussed on the national, state and local level. Yonki was a weekly panelist on WYLN TV 35's Friday Topic A program. He also appeared on the Hazleton, PA. station on Election Night doing coverage and did special projects and stories for WYLN TV 35's 10PM Newscast "Late Edition".

Once again the GOP trots out the old axiom that is you are against the war, you are against the troops. But as the Yonk so cannily cites, the Dems hands get tied when the security arguement is made. Ironic since they ere the folks who gave us 'Nam!
I don't know how you can be against the war and for the troops. No one has been able to convince me. I am willing to listen.
No GOP connection that I could uncover. Of course I'm just a regular guy.

I was against Vietnam after I fought there! Actually I was against the war about half way thru my tour of duty. I still supported the troops. Hell I was a Troop. Cant you hold two concepts at the same time 6:48? I now support the troops by wanting to bring them home in one piece as soon as possible. Nothing difficult about that thinking for me.

What if they don't want to come home?
The troops I know expected that they might have to leave home, fight, kill, and die for use.
That is bravery. That is commitment. They weren't drafted or tricked. Just damned brave. And wanting to finish the job.
There will always be malcontents.
I side with and support those troops I know to be honest. They haven't let me down and I won't let them or their brothers down.
The day these facts change - so will I. But not a day before and not without their consensus.
