EVERYTHING IN 3s

Remember that old saying that everything comes in 3s? Well that’s how things worked out for this edition.

ED’S BIG 3

Governor Rendell made some news last week by answering a reporter’s question about the State Budget impasse. When asked to give an answer as to why there was no state budget yet, the Governor’s eyes lit up as if he just saw a McNabb to Vick option play that resulted in a touchdown. The Governor said the reason why the Legislature has not yet passed a budget was because of:
1.Ideology.
2.Partisanship.
3.Laziness.
I mean he’s right on the money on all three. The GOP Senate is in an ideological state of constipation because they don’t want to raise taxes. The tax crazies won’t pay taxes even if it meant saying their own mothers so the GOP Senate has a built in constituency of ignorance. The Democrats don’t want to budge and who can blame them. They will be giving in to obstructionist Senators who get their jollies by just saying no. And the laziness is the truest statement the Governor made. This has been going on since last February. That is a total disgrace. But if you were getting your salary and a per diem, expense accounts at the best places to eat in Harrisburg and $600 bucks a month for a car, you’d tend to get a little lazy too. Is there any constituent out there reading this that got any service from a local lawmaker? Tell me your story. I won’t print it but I’d like to know what these guys are doing. I mean at least Kanjo sends you a newsletter!

3 DEMS

Three local Democrats passed away over Labor Day Weekend. Shickshinny’s Jim Bach who served as Democratic County party Treasurer and Chairman passed away after a long illness…..Margaret “Peggy” Barrett of West Pittston died at the age of 104. Barrett was a long time Democratic party official in that bastion of Republicanism West Pittston borough…..and Michael Rushton who served 24 years on the Wilkes Barre Area School board also died this past weekend. Each contributed to the growth and progress of the party they represented and served.

Only one problem with your analysis. The Budget is not in the Senate. It is stuck in the house.

Next Presidential speech, if he is even allowed to attend, Rep Joe Wilson should be required to wear a duct tape gag!I believe both parties would approve this measure. Jesus, Mary and Joseph what was the fool thinking? This is just about enough of the lies and lack of respect. Get it thru your sorry spoiled ass heads, this Man is the President!

Sorry to hear of Jimmy Bach's passing. He was a nice guy and I enjoyed his company. The Old Guard is just about gone and the New Guard can't go fast enough!
