It is a fluke of humanity that you and I were born in a country where we are free to express our opinions, our likes, dislikes, etc. Not everyone or anything is perfect in this country, but let's try to remember that we as Americans have a head start on people born in other parts of the world under different cultures and regimes. You're an American, make the most out of every day. Happy Fourth!
PENNSYLVANIA'S ROLE
Pennsylvania’s vote, which is the last vote needed to obtain the required unanimous approval, is called again, Dickinson declares that "Pennsylvania votes...", only to be stopped by Franklin who asks Hancock to poll the members of the delegation individually. Franklin votes "yea" and Dickinson "nay", leaving the swing vote to Wilson, who normally adheres to Dickinson. Seeing his hesitancy, Dickinson tries to entice him: "James, you're keeping everybody waiting ... the issue is clear." Franklin remarks that "most issues are clear when someone else has to decide them", and Adams mercilessly adds that "it would be a pity for a man [Wilson] who has handed down hundreds of wise decisions from the bench to be remembered for the one unwise decision he made in Congress." Wilson doesn't want to be remembered as "the man who prevented American independence" and votes "yea". The motion is passed.
Dickinson says, “And is that how new nations are formed-by a non entity trying to preserve the anonymity he so richly deserves.”
Franklin retorts, “Revolutions come into this world like bastard children-half improvised and half compromised. Our side has provided the compromise, now Judge Wilson is supplying the rest.”

I hate Obama, I Love Obama. Bush is an idiot, Bush was a good president. Politics, state of the nation, it's leaders, policies, like em or hate em, Thank God we have to right to do either without being imprisoned or hung! Say what you will, for or against, we are extremely fortunate to live in a country such as the old U.S. of A.! Take a break from all the bitching and nitpicking and appreciate all that we have.
Oh... and one more thing, if you run into a Veteran or a present-day soldier, give your thanks and appreciation to him or her for their service. If it weren't for them, I for one wouldn't be sitting on my ass drinking beer and eating a hot dog today!!!

Youre a Hell of an American, Yonki and straight shootin blogs of the future will play an important role. You make the effort, know your history and very often get it right. Happy 4th to someone whos out there every day tryin to make things move along a little easier in America or at least make some sense of some of it!

I remember I posted something about one of Kanjos cronies Paul Maher that didnt have any profanity in it at all and you never posted it. Now someone posts using profanities and you post it. I just don't get it.

Yonk censors out any time anyone calls out anyone at WILK. Many times I have tried to point out the hypocrisy of WILK talk staff only to have more than 1/2 of the comment edited out, if posted at all.
The reason Walt that you maybe unaware of what is censored, is because it never appears. I think one of the previous posters was correct, don't celebrate freedom of speech, if you aren't willing to allow others to excise their freedoms.

Kevin Lynn.. . Glad they finally canned his mean spirited pudgey ass, and even though his ego couldn't believe it they are still on the air and the morning show is better than ever. It seems Nancy is much more relaxed and enjoying being on the air. She even shows up for all 3 hours.
