MAYBE I'M AMAZED

Maybe I’m Amazed……..that there are still people in this country who will not give President Obama credit for having the stones to go after Osama. And I’m also equally amazed that there are those who will not give George Bush credit for rallying the world after 911. Bush squandered a lot of that good will but in the aftermath of the tragedy, Bush did everything right.
Maybe I’m Amazed……that there are still people who think those planes on 911 were loaded with explosives and that this was a government plot. Bin Laden was no idiot, he was an engineer who knew the coordinates and orchestrated the deadly attack. There is a reason why the subsequent terrorist attacks after he went on the run were amateurish and halting.
Maybe I’m Amazed……that all those campaign signs you see on the sides of the roads cost so much damn money. For 1000 signs it’ll cost you $4,000. That’s a steep expenditure for someone with grassroots money making a run.
Maybe I’m Amazed……that those union endorsed candidates are running under the banner “for working families”. Like if this union ticket hand picked by the bosses get in, just how are they going to help those working families where dad makes ten bucks an hour in the supermarket, mom makes $9.00 an hour at WalMart and the kids can’t get summer jobs because everybody else is unemployed. I challenge those people who controlled the endorsement and shut everyone else out to tell me how they are going to help those folks out. Remember, there’s more of them than the workers the union represents.
Maybe I’m Amazed…..that Corey O’Brien seems to be taking a back seat in the campaign for Lackawanna County Commissioner. His running mate has been showing up on TV spots.
Maybe I’m Amazed……that in Luzerne County, the Judicial race is going to boil down to three things, 1. Name Recognition, 2. Advertising. 3. Alliances. The people who have been off the radar need to put on a TV blitz in order to make the top 6.
Maybe I’m Amazed……that Kingston Mayor Jim Haggerty gets crap for whatever he tries to do. He runs for State Senate, he’s too ambitious. He heads the Charter Commission, he wants to be head of the revamped Luzerne County Legal Department. He runs for Judge, his signs gets plastered with a No Haggerty message with those nifty hand made things that would maker a pre schooler embarrassed to hand in. If Haggerty ran for Justice of the Peace in East Jesus, Vermont someone would track him down there and throw mud at him.
