The LuLac Edition #1785, October 5th, 2011

This edition of "IN FOCUS" features photos from the blogfest, the Bill Vinsko cocktail party, the 6th District events as well as the Coal Street Park completion announcement.
Can this be Blll Clinton and Todd Palin? No, but they are political spouses nonetheless. Here Rick Sorokus chats with Michael Maribito at blogfest. Rick's wife Eileen is running for Luzerne County Council as a Democrat. And Michael's spouse is Moly Hanlon Maribito, who is cross filed for Luzerne County Judge.

This photo looks like an all star legal team from Greater Pittston. Attorney Joe Terrana, Mike Vough, his wife Cindy and Magistrate and Judicial candidate Fred Pierantoni.

Judicial candidate Mike Vough and his wife Cindy pose with Independent candidate for County Council Rick Williams. Or maybe he's posing with them. You'll have to ask them when you see them.

A few leftover photos from the blogfest, in this photo Judicial candidate Molly Hanlon Mirabito is seen with former Democratic State committeeman Bob Caruso, Mrs. LuLac and this blog editor.

If there is a grande dame of Luzerne County politics, it is Mercedes Leighton who served three administrations as Wilkes Barre City Treasurer. She is surrounded by a few friends as she holds court at the Vinsko event.

One of the big political fundraising events was the Bill Vinsko cocktail party. Here State Representative Eddie Day Pashinski is pictured with former Scranton Mayor Jim McNulty.
Wilkes Barre Mayor Tom Leighton is running for Mayor being the Mayor. Here he is at an announcement in September regarding the completion of the Coal Street project. (Photo from Times Leader)

This gathering was at the Annual GOP Chili cook off. From left to right are candidates in attendance; Candidates l/r Bill James LCC, Harry Haas LCC, Jim O'Meara Plains Twp. Commissioner, Stephen J. Urban LCC & DC WB, Lisa Cope Mayor WB, Kathy Grinaway SD WBA, Kathy Dobash LCC, Richard Dick Hughes Judge CCP LC. NOTE TO MY BUDDY JIMMY O'MEARA, DON'T HIDE YOUR SIGN!!

The 6th District in Wilkes Barre has trouble getting a majority of the votes in the fall election but they have the best parties. Here's Pat Umbra, DA candidate Stefanie Salavantis and County Council candidate Steve Urban at the event.

Come on with the Joe Teranna bullshit. This guy just got off a free ride with Kanjorski and now it appears he is looking to get back on the train with Vinsko. Why does Vinsko think he needs a Terrana on his back? There is no political pull but the entire clan expects political pay back. Please say it ain't so Bill.
