GUESTS AT THE STATE OF THE UNION

Tonight at the State of The Union the President and First Lady Michelle Obama honored Jim Obergefell, one of the many courageous plaintiffs who brought last June’s historic marriage equality case to the Supreme Court. But also in attendance was Kim Davis the Kentucky County Clerk who became famous by refusing to grant licenses. (Photo: Human Rights Campaign).
Ahhh Democracy.

Our own Senator Pat Toomey invited State Trooper Alex Douglass to the State of The Union speech. Douglass was shot in the Blooming Grove Trooper Shooting in 2014. Here’s Toomey’s statement and a few photos of the two. “I am delighted that Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Alex Douglass is here with me this evening to attend the State of the Union address as my guest. His bravery is an inspiration. Trooper Douglass epitomizes the courage and self-sacrifice our law enforcement officers show every day as they put themselves in harm's way to protect us," Toomey stated.

Here's Senator Toomey and Trooper Douglass in the halls,

and up the escalator during this big day.

There are so many important issues to attend to nationally and globally but we are concentrating on gay marriage plaintiffs!!!??? What the hell is going on? You are as complicit in distracting us as the administration is in pulling the wool over our eyes.
