Without mentioning them, he would be ignoring the elephant in the room. Policemen should not be attacked and killed. Nor should black men driving a car.
The President sounded the right tone. To exclude any part of it just to please the critics would not be Presidential or for that matter American.
But too many people think their view of America is the right one.
Hatred is alive and well in America and there are subtle examples of it every day. But there are also incidents that just explode. Such was the case the other day.
A female teenage was having a meal at a place called Chester’s Chicken restaurant in San Antonio. A so called couple spewed racial statements at the kid. Much to her credit, the girl started recording the insults.
Okay, let’s stop for a second.
The people hurling the insults are so freaking stupid they must have known this might happen.
The girl posted a viral message, “So, Facebook, this is what racist people look like”. Rather than be embarrassed the idiot racist gave a shout out to Facebook and then told the girl and her family to “shut the f*ck up” and calling them “god damn n-word”.
His baby factory agreed, squawking “You’re a f*cking n word!” and later saying “Take your nword ass back to Africa!”
When one of the black women in the girl's party said “I was born right here in America!” The white woman shrieked “My ancestors owned your mother f*cking ass. My ancestors owned your ass, bitch… Black people don’t belong in America.”
The teenager said she recorded the incident to let people see what is happening in San Antonio. Here’s the worst part. The diners in the place sat, averted their eyes and did nothing.
“That’s the problem though,” the girl concluded. “You can’t fight them; you can’t fight these people because that’s how you end up in jail.”
We have become a country of ignorant loud people who hate people different than they are. But my God, who the hell would want to be racist slobs who get pissed because they see people of color in a chicken place. Maybe they are the ones that should get the **** out of the country.
If they even spent a minute in foreign country, they’d never survive.
The upcoming Republican convention has less preparation and logistical planning then a Communion Breakfast at a local church. So far, no agenda, not a list of speakers, no time line. How are these guys leading in the poll in some places?

5 Comments:
I recently viewed a rarely seen Twilight Zone episode, "He's Alive". It reminded me so much of Mr. Trump.
Rod Serling's closing narration:
"Where will he go next, this phantom from another time, this resurrected ghost of a previous nightmare – Chicago? Los Angeles? Miami, Florida? Vincennes, Indiana? Syracuse, New York? Anyplace, everyplace, where there's hate, where there's prejudice, where there's bigotry. He's alive. He's alive so long as these evils exist. Remember that when he comes to your town. Remember it when you hear his voice speaking out through others. Remember it when you hear a name called, a minority attacked, any blind, unreasoning assault on a people or any human being. He's alive because through these things we keep him alive."
Well, as now demonstrated, if we ban guns they will find another way.
More than Sandyhook, more the Orlando, more than California.
73 dead in France from a truck.
So, will the president attack truck violence?
Time to focus on violence, no matter the tool used. We must get to the root cause. In some cases it is terrorism, others, something else. Yet, as long as we get distracted by the weapon, we will never find a potential solution
Texas is not the only home of ignorant rednecks who proudly fly the confederate flag. I travel the backwoods of NEPA most everyday for my job. The hatred and bigotry represented by that sad symbol can easily be found on any country road - usually next to a "Trump - Make America Great Again" sign.
There is equality of bigotry and racism on BOTH sides. You just get and use the one side because that is accessible to you.
You don't see the black hatred spewed in the neighborhoods forbidden to you and few seek it out fearing for their lives.
I have seen this simmering the last 8 years as our leader continues to scratch and pick at the scars he will not even acknowledge are there.
One side is pissed because they are being pushed out of the economy or forced to fund failed initiatives while the other side is angry because they fear being pushed out of those same programs losing the only economy they know.
Poor Kyle, being stuck in the car all that way with two people old enough to be his grandparents....
