THE ICE COLD COMFORT OF DONALD J. TRUMP

(Photo: AP)
The President went to Puerto Rico today and totally made that territory of the United States instantly feel like “less thans”. He spoke about how well the effort was going and then he started to tell the Puerto Rican people that they were screwing up his budget.
Not to worry Donnie boy, you’re doing that on your own with your REPUBLICAN party. Trump then incredibly said that the island nation only had 16 deaths compared to the thousands at Katrina.
Well so far Puerto Rico has 34 dead, Katrina had about 1800. Not thousands.
But he was never good at Math. Consider the 4 bankruptcies. But I digress.
Trump said that to cover his own ass. We made a comparison to Katrina last week. So did others. Never mind the fact that more might die. There is no accurate reporting methodology that is working. The loss of electricity on the island has led to a lack of communication, and the official death toll has stayed the same for days. The Center for Investigative Journalism has been calling hospitals and estimates that there have actually been dozens of deaths, which was confirmed Monday — and that the number could rise into the hundreds.
Trump also said that the nation has to do their part to deliver goods that are arriving at port. A few things, first off, with no gas……no trucks.
Second, supermarkets don’t have internet access to scan goods or accept access cards.
Or credit cards.
Trump then gave out flashlights to an assembled group saying that “You won’t need these anymore”. But they did, 90% of the island has no power, lights or waster.
Everyone seems to know that except Trump.
Trump should realize that this little nation fought in every war in the 20th and 21st century. The people there deserve more than his chest thumping pomposity and needy behavior.
This man has become a very sad excuse for America.
