POLL SHOWS ELLSWORTH CLOSING ON PRIMARY RIVALS

An independent poll Thursday showed Republican Laura Ellsworth gaining on her two opponents, marking a possible turning point in the race for the contest for the GOP nomination for governor of Pennsylvania.
Pollster James Lee said Ellsworth appears poised to overtake healthcare consultant Paul Mango. Lee’s firm, Susquehanna Polling & Research, conducted the survey for WHTM-ABC27 in Harrisburg over the past weekend. The poll used a random sample of 545 likely Republican primary voters. The poll has a margin-for-error of 4.2 percent.
The poll numbers show Wagner at 37 percent, Mango at 23, and Ellsworth at 18, with a surprising 22 percent undecided. Internal campaign polls show a similarly high undecided rate and Ellsworth rising rapidly.
"Ellsworth has jumped by 16 points in comparison to a month ago and I think that's a function of the debates and the fact that the other two primary candidates in the race have gone so negative so quickly that a lot of voters are sitting back watching saying, there's gotta’ be another way. And she's picking up that support," said pollster Jim Lee.
With 22 percent of the electorate still undecided, numbers suggest that neither Mango nor State Sen. Scott Wagner has closed the deal with voters turned off by negative campaigning.
“We think Laura is peeling away votes from both Wagner and Mango and that she’ll draw in the majority of undecided voters as her message finally gets through,” said Ellsworth consultant Mark Harris.
To date, Wagner and Mango have spent a combined $20 million, with much of it going toward televised ads attacking each other. Ellsworth recently spent $500,000 for a statewide advertising spot stressing her focus on issues such as job creation and responsible state budgeting.
“Voters have said over and over that they’re sick of negative politics. We’re testing that theory and it appears that Pennsylvania voters are ready for a candidate who talks about actual issues,” said Ellsworth spokeswoman Brianna Buczkowski.

4 DAYS, NO APOLOGY, TRUMP STAFFER STILL COLLECTING A TAXPAYER CHECK WHILE INSULTING A DECORATED VETERAN!

The piggish Trump White House continues to spew the hate and ignorance of their great leader. My question here is just when did the Republican party start to hate veterans? Kelly Sadler mocked Sen. John McCain's brain cancer diagnosis in a meeting after the Arizona Republican announced his opposition to President Trump's pick to lead the CIA, sources told Fox News Thursday.
Kelly Sadler, said of McCain, "It doesn't matter, he's dying anyway." Wow! There’s a line in South Pacific that is quite appropriate here, “You've got to be taught
To hate and fear,
You've got to be taught
From year to year,
It's got to be drummed
In your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught.
It comes from the top people. On Coast To Coast last nigh, political blowhard Roger Stone even questioned the legitimacy of John McCain’s imprisonment in Vietnam. What a sorry, sordid bunch of lying slobs who when confronted with the truth, say, “not me!”. Sad and ignorant.
But they’ll tell you how patriotic they are and how much they love Veterans. Except the one who carried their party standard with honor in 2008!

How is what Sadler said either mocking or inaccurate?

I didn't hear the tone with which it was delivered. It could have been simply a matter of fact statement to get people off of worrying abut Senator McCain's opinion on the nominee. He won't be there to debate the appointment and he won't be there to vote on it. Her analysis is right on the money.

Senator McCain has earned a great deal of respect and admiration. He went from an undistinguished and barely competent officer who received commission and appointment based upon nepotism; to a genuine hero who would not take an out of turn release for propaganda purposes. He has earned and deserves every accolade for his heroism.

McCain has also demonstrated he is very much an opportunist - marrying for money and political gain as the earliest example, to using his impending death to seek justified retribution against Trump as the last.

Sadler made an honest and 100% accurate assessment in a closed door meeting. No matter how unfeeling or dispassionate it may have been; her assessment is both logical and factual. She has not earned or given cause to be fired.

Compared to the betrayal and skewering and insults and hatred Vietnam Veterans received upon returning home by democrats and liberals, I don't think this comment would even register upon the thickened skin of those who were vilified and ostracized for their service.

Oh bullshit!
There you go justifying a slur of hate upon a veteran and blaming Democrats and Liberals for the treatment of returning Vietnam Veterans?
Democrats and Liberals WERE Vietnam Veterans.
McCain an opportunist? His marriage and the money his wife had?
Hey Mr. Spock, apply your logical and factual to the people like Sadler in The White House instead of playing the old Liberal and Democratic card!

You have got to be shitting me. John McCain is getting even with thumb sucking baby boy D.T. in his last days.
Really?
That is so stupid a comment, so hateful, so incredibly inaccurate that i"m astounded.
You must be one of Trump's butt boys who will justify or attack anything or anyone in his name.
There is a new religion in the land folks and their god is Trump.
I'm glad I'm an atheist.
