Antoinette Kraus, the director of the Pennsylvania Health Access Network (PHAN) released the following statement on the start of this year's Open Enrollment Period in PA:
"Amid continued attacks of sabotage by the Trump Administration, the Affordable Care Act's six-week Open Enrollment period has begun, and many Pennsylvanians will have more choices and lower rate increases than last year. Because more choices are available this year, it's more important than ever that people compare their options and take the time to find out what plan is best for them. More short-term and high-deductible plans are available to consumers this year, and consumers who are considering a specific plan should look carefully at both the out-of-pocket costs and coverage under the plan to ensure they will be able to get the care they need.
Despite cuts to the federal health insurance navigator program, PHAN's staff of trained professionals is here to help. Anyone who needs assistance can call or text our helpline at 877-570-3642 or visit pahealthaccess.org/gethelp."
We got this information from Lou Jasikoff who is staging a run for Stare Representative in the 117th against Karen Bobeck.
