13 QUESTIONS

1.    Why don’t you think Josh Shapiro didn’t get the Veep nomination?

A few reasons. I think he is still the future of the party so being picked won’t hurt him in the long run. Except for the State Legislature, Shapiro has always been in an executive position so this might have been a barrier he himself set up in the interview. Then there is the consideration of his religion and how it might relate to the current situation in the Mideast. Had there not been an unprovoked attack on the concert goers in October of last year, his beliefs may not have been an issue. Another consideration is that having two former prosecutors might have been too much for the progressive wing of the party. That stated, he scored huge points with his welcoming address. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, he’ll be around for a while.

2.    Are you going to see Trump at the Arena this weekend?

No. I’m not a cult member. But I’m sure it will be the same shit show with his greatest hits. If only Ralph Kramden were around to see it.

3.    How did the change at the top of the Democratic ticket affect RFK Junior’s plans?

It hurt them. Kennedy was polling at around 10%% but that has declined to 5%. “There’s no doubt that Kamala Harris has picked up some undecided and third-party support since she’s become the nominee,” David Wasserman, a senior editor and an elections analyst for the Cook Political Report, recently told The Atlantic.  If it’s a tight race, Kennedy may be a factor but I think this is going to be a big Democratic win.

    4. Do you think the endorsement of the Mayor of Mesa, Arizona have an impact on that state?

John Giles says NO to Trump.

You bet it would. The crazies have taken over the party and it’s about time old guard Republicans should start to step up.

5.    What is your impression of Walz?

I like him. He checks off all the boxes and is a regular guy. He and his wife have teacher pensions, they don’t even own a home anymore since he’s living in the Governor’s mansion and owns no stock. He can certainly connect with voters who don’t want to go back to the drama with Trump.

6..    What do you make of the fact that the GOP is sticking a lot of money into local candidacies in the 118th and 120th districts?

Both Jim Haddock and Eddie Day Pashinski have been attacked by a billionaire in Philly. They have helped fund candidates  who speak in platitudes that say nothing but thanks to the funds say it veery loudly and often. The State House is operating on a one vote majority and that’s why you see ads for them all the time.

Meantime the Democratic state committee is making 120th District candidate Fern Lesrd jump through hoops to get any support. Leard has been on the stump and needs help but he state seems to have a set of metrics (she needs to have $40,000 before they’ll budge) that is not6 helping her at all. She is qualified and passionate.

7.    Best sweet corn to get in the area?

Doran’s in Hanover and any one of the Farmers who have it at the Market on the Square.

8..    How about those Guardians? Are you loving it yet?

Without a doubt!

9.     Trump on Musk, was it helpful?

HELL NO! Did they not learn anything from Rick DeSantis’  Roll out on the same platform. It was a technical mess to begin with and as MSNBC pointed out “If you’re looking for two hours of overcompensating attempts at hypermasculinity, basic GOP fearmongering talking points about crime and immigration, and a touch of slobbering back-patting about free speech and civility — the Musk/Trump show is your type”.

10.   What do you think of Trump trying to sue the Court in Florida, naming as a defendant Judge Cannon for the Maralago seizure of records?

He’s a snake and anyone loyal to him doesn’t even count.  He uses people like Kleenex tissues. Once he uses them for what he needs, they’re finished.

111.   What did you think of Joe Biden’s recent accomplishment in getting  those U.SD. prisoner home?

Typical Biden. Slow, steady non bombastic diplomacy that gets results. This is what he is good at. Plus he got other prisoners out too. And he was wide awakew after 1130PM when that plane landed.

112.   I heard you on the radio with Nancy and Jason. Do you still maintain Biden was kicked to the curb?

I do. But he exited on his own terms and did it as a patriot. He will go down in history  as a consequential President.

13.   Do they have a cot for you down at WBRE TV, you were on TV  what 4 Sundays in a row?

Yeah I was fortunate to be asked.  And no, I don’t need a cot there. I live less than  a quarter  mile away from there.  Thanks for asking though and watching.
