The LuLac Edition #560, Sept. 2nd, 2008

CONVENTION CONFIDENTIAL

MEET AND GREET

With Gustav in the rear view mirror, it appears the GOP can get on with their convention. Tonight President Bush will talk via satellite and give us full support behind John McCain.
The reaction to the Sarah Palin story about her daughter’s pregnancy seemed to have gained little traction with diehard Republicans on the Convention Floor. If anything, the release of the story and the reaction to it by the national press and (ahem) a few bloggers has strengthened the resolve to make this election a success.
The delegates from LuLac Land began Monday morning with a group breakfast. Making a special appearance was John McCain’s mother. She’s 96 and was warmly received. Also making appearance was the former Governor of New York George Pataki.
On Monday night, the host committee treated the delegation from all 50 states at Civic Fest. It was a great opportunity to meet delegates from all over the United States at the Fest. The Civic Fest gave the delegates the opportunity to load up on staples for the fall campaign which included almost everything with a GOP or elephant logo on it from hats to candy mints.

So, what is Meuser after next time around, in 2010. Hmmmm, choices, lots of choices. Here are my picks, and in some order...

1) A run against Carney after his second term, because Dan knows the incumbent is going to flatten Hackett. If Hackett goes down, he won't be back up again.

2) A strong move towards the governor's mansion, which means one of the following...

a) Auditor General
b) Lt. Governor
c) Maybe even governor itself, unless Lisa Baker makes a move on that.

All three offices will be up for grabs in 2010.

And I wouldn't rule out a run in the 11th against Kanjo, who will probably retire after this next term, which he will get in beating Lou. If Lou loses twice, he's damaged goods. No comeback there, either. Yes, I know, Meuser moved into the 10th to run against Hacket, but I sure as hell wouldn't bet against him moving back into the 11th. The man wants something big, and he wants it equally as big.

Let's go the last comment about Lou. First, I believe you are missing what is happening on the ground with Lou. Kanjo has the fight of his career on his hands, one he is going to lose. Kanjo has refused to debate Lou except for the WVIA program debate.
Obviously he is afraid of putting himself out there to make more faux pas.

Kanjorski's term ends January 3rd at noon. In the world of drugs you can set that as his expiration date.

I have a friend who worked 23 years for the CIA. They have a motto. Don't worry about who you are looking at worry about who's looking at you. Endorsements have yet to be released. They are forthcoming and you will be surprised at the amount of support Lou Barletta has earned.

Now, "If Lou loses twice, he's damaged goods." Kanjorski ran four times before he was successful. Ray Musto- he came in fourth, Jim Nelligan- he came in third, Frank Harrison, then winning against Frank Harrison. So I guess Kanjo was damaged goods after three loses. No comeback...well there goes the air in your ballon. You can read those facts at the link I provided below.

Kanjorski joined Nancy Pelosi in voting to go home early rather than face the energy crisis. That situation is exactly what Kanjo and Ed Mitchell accused Frank Harrision for neglecting his district during the giardiasis crisis with the "boiling water" commercial- http://books.google.com/books?id=WNwAjxhtp_wC&pg=PA15&lpg=PA15&dq=frank+harrison+giardiasis+crisis&source=web&ots=n9xhI625CG&sig=3nVTEhNvpgo9SqnlRKeGSl-PI2I&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=1&ct=result

Why should we let Kanjo get away with doing the same thing? Kanjorski is out of touch with his district. I have it on good authority he has yet to attend a game at Lackawanna Stadium. How sad is that. I know its not a big issue but it is symbolic in being out of touch.

Cornerstone, AVA Solar, Citizens for Action, Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, KOR Holdings, K & K Real Estate- all have been helped by Kanjo and all have his family involved or been involved or Kanjorski himself has received money.- http://www.scribd.com/doc/334655/final-full-report

When is the last time you lost $10 million dollars of someone else's money? And how darn mad do you think they would be to recoup it?
