ANDY AND THE JUDGES

Tune in tonight at 5:30PM on WBRE TV when Channel 28 pre-empts its 5:30 newscast for a special program. I Team reporter Andy Mehalshick will sit down with 6 of the Judges on the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas. The program is sure to be informative and you'll get an insight into what the Judges feel about the controversy surrounding their collegues. Tonight: 5:30PM on WBRE TV.

LOU SPEAKS

Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta will address the Luzerne County GOP tonight at 25 Public Square in Wilkes Barre. Barletta has been mentioned as a possible candidate for Ltn. Governor in 2010 on the GOP ticket. Barletta told a local newspaper he is ready to light a fire under the GOP tonight. The Hazleton Mayor said that too many Republicans are afraid to be Republicans by not standing up for what they truly believe in. The event starts at 7PM tonight and is open to the public.

LOKUTA TRIES AGAIN

Anne Lokuta has asked for court approval to get her Judge seat back. If that happens voters will only get to choose two Judicial seats on the May 19th ballot. State officials said that all candidates would stay on the ballot. So far 15 candidates have expressed intentions to run. Lokuta filed a petition in the state Supreme Court on Tuesday attempting to stop the state from putting her judge seat on the May primary election ballot, arguing that the slot should remain open until the court resolves her appeal challenging her removal from the bench.

I'm happy to answer the question.

What do Republicans believe in?

We believe in the strength of the individual.

We believe in equal rights, free enterprise and individual initiative.

We believe in fiscal responsibility, low taxes and smaller government.

We believe in meeting challenges through principled innovation.

We believe in a strong America which strives for worldwide peace, freedom and human rights.

We believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle to translate these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

Best Regards....
