Not going to vote. Because of reasons I expressed that you edited I have decided that democracy and freedom are arbitrary controlled by a few elitist arrogant white men who seek to stifle the free flow of ideas.

As the Cheney Family seems to have inside information regarding torture, I suggest we waterboard the whole clan in a fair effort to get at the truth!Better still, lets all get out and vote and try our best to avoid further politicians like Old Wheelchair Bound for a Day Dick!

NORMALLY I'D THINK THIS WAS NOT A VALID REASON AND CERTAINLY NOT ONE STEEPED IN THE CIVIC LESSONS WE LEARNED IN SCHOOL. BUT WITH 17 CANDIDATES AND IT NOW BEING LESS THAN 6 HOURS BEFORE THE POLLS CLOSE, (HAVING NOT YET MADE UP MY MIND) I'LL GIVE YOU A PASS. AS LONG AS YOU VOTE, A RED BLOODED AMEERICAN BOY CAN HAVE HIS REASONS.AND IF ATTORNEY ROGERS WINS BY ONE VOTE, I DON'T THINK SHE'D BE OFFENDED.

HEY 6:58 - Bitchers like you SHOULD have your voting rights taken away from you. Then you'd really have something to bitch about! You're a real ***hole! (edited by arrogant white male elitist blogger, sorry!)

The right to vote also includes the right not to vote. People have their reasons, some vote later, some never again, however it is their right. Since the person's reasons were edited I can not make a judgment on his/her validity to abstain from voting.

I hope 6:58 reconsiders and decides to vote. For one thing, it is invalid to blame someone else for your own actions, or in this case, lack of action. If you choose not to vote, don't say it's because someone edited your response on a blog. Having an opinion is your right. Editing a blog a newsletter, newspaper or whatever, is the right of the editor.

Get over it.

I just got back from voting in Luzerne County. Making my choices for judge was probably the most difficult electoral decision I've made in my voting career. 17 candidates for 2 slots- that's a lot of information to wade through. The candidates waged a very civilized campaign, with no accusations or name calling, which would not have been becoming of a judicial candidate anyway. All seemed to possess at least the minimal qualifications.

In the end, I voted for Gartley and Amesbury. He for his experience as a district magistrate and she for her experience in law and her committment to her community. Whoever the successful candidates are, assuming there is a choice in the fall, there will be unparalleled scrutiny cast on the candidates. I hope they will be able to stand up to it.

For many years I exercised the right not to vote. I had my reasons. Watch out what you revoke 2:30 and dont be so quick or you'll wind up with something like the Patriot Act.

Before they elect anybody, Judge Lokuta’s status needs to be reviewed!
Remember JUSTICE isn’t just a word in the Dictionary.
I suggest new Dictionarys for all Luzerne County Judges
highlighting words like Justice, Honesty and Corruption!
Anything on Paul Sorvino’s Movie from the Lac?

"Before they elect anybody, Judge Lokuta’s status needs to be reviewed!"

Why? Lokuta's seat is not on the ballot?

I would of loved to have read 6:58's reasons for not voting. I guess he may have a point, if a blog set up for the free exchange of opinion doesn't live up to its mission, what will elected officials do? It is a shame Mr. Yonki that you have acted as judge and jury and disallowed debate on the upcoming elections. I'm sure you have your reasons, much the same as those that burned books claimed to have theirs.

C'MON, NOBODY IS GOING TO BE BURNING ANY BOOKS. FIRST OFF, I'M ANYTHING BUT AN ELITIST. I MODERATE FEW COMMENTS, MOSTLY FOR ATTACKS ON PEOPLE AND BAD LANGUAGE. THIS SITUATION WHERE I EDITED COMMENTS ABOUT MR. GRIFFITH WAS A REFERENCE THAT I DID NOT WANT ON MY SITE. NOT FOR CENSURE BUT BECAUSE IT WAS REPORTED AND COMMENTED AD NAUSEUM ELSEWHERE. IF I'M GOING TO BE ACCUSED OF BEING AN ELITIST, PLEASE GIVE ME THE PERKS TOO THAT GO ALONG WITH THAT. NOT SEEING ANY AT ALL.

I did not mention what Happend to Mr. Griffith, I was upset about his response. That is important, but he won the republican nomination. I am sure the dems will not let it die.
