This week I caught up with a Wilkes Barre politico who talked about the recent Wilkes Barre Area School Board pick to succeed Frank Pizzella.
Q: Why didn’t they pick Harry Haas?
A: Harry would outclass them. The guy has a lot on the ball.
Q: What about the guy they did pick?
A: Good guy but not one that’s going to rock the boat. It’ll be interesting to see if he gets anything for his friends and family. He sounds good on his feet but who knows.
Q: Do you think all school board members are corrupt?
A: Not the one termers at least.
Q: C’mon.
A: No I’m serious, after they get re-elected a few times they think they are entitled.
Q: Do you know people who ever paid for a job?
A: In a fashion.
Q: Come again?
A: Cash never changed hands but let’s just say considerations were offered and received.
Q: But it’s been proven in court that cash changed hands.
A: I know but as far as I know cash never changed hands. Just considerations were granted.
Q: Do you think the Wilkes Barre School board can be repaired?
A: Yes, but it will take a while.
Q: Would you ever consider running for the board?
A: I did. Didn’t make it.
Q: Will you try again?
A: Naw.
Q: Why?
A: Unless you are connected or have a godfather, a sponsor if you will, you ain’t going nowhere.
Q: The godfathers and godmothers don’t think you’re qualified enough to take you under their wing?
A: Oh I think they know I’m qualified but I have a fatal flaw.
Q: What’s that?
A: I tend to have a big mouth.
Q: That’ll do it?
A: Oh yeah.

The school board should be stripped of all its hiring policies and contracts being awarded to compaines. Another thing I have a problem with is that alot of the people who work for the school district and are corrupt work for the county and city as well. Frank Majikes is serving as president of that Hawkeye computer camera system in Wilkes-Barre and the man is the principal of votec in Wilkes-Barre which is at the center of so much corruption. His family all works for the city, school district, or county. When is enough enough. I wish the people would see all of this that is going on. All the members of the family have all the jobs. That is why the young people move away. The problem with the Mayor of Wilkes-Barre and the school board is they keep hiring the same people that they know. Cant they give these jobs and positions to young people. They talk about bringing jobs to the area but they are part of the problem of the jobs leaving the area because they give them to their friends. I know this will not get posted but I am just tired of all the corruption around here.
I wonder what makes people think things wont get posted on LuLac?
I'd like to hear from someone who makes the claim that something was ignored. Mr Yonki seems to be open minded and fair and he certainly posts some nasty crap about himself
from time to time. I can understand why personal attacks get edited out or foul language, but I think the LuLac editor does a
good job and I believe the integrity of the site is intact.
Tell me if I'm wrong.
1:56- That's not the half of it. F.M. is also a BB ref- Talk to anybody that has kids playing sports. Another buddy system, same people doing basketball, baseball, softball & football. The white males are too stupid to learn field hockey to dominate that one. Try cleaning that one up- Many games are decided by idiots that are propped up by their buddies. District 2 is just as bad as any other political enitiy....
Yes wish the FBI would go in Wilkes Barre City Hall and look at all the Majikes's working for the city. City Hall the Police Force the Hawkeye thing for the city Frank Majikes is the head of the city Police civil service commision who decide who passes to get on the force. Feds get at Wilkes Barre City government.
As long as we keep electing the same bozos who appoint and hire their buds, we will have the school boards we deserve. And as long as we won't hold people like C. Katsock accountable when she turns out to be the same old poliitical hack she criticized when she was a perpetual candidate for any office, we will have the school boards we deserve.
Please I wish someone could ask steve corbett about the dealings of these people in wilkes-barre. It has to stop.
I feel that if Leighton gets elected the same old will continue with him giving these folks jobs just plain and simple that is why I can not vote for him
I can not vote for the Wilkes-Barre Mayor because the people around him like the Majikes and so many other will just keep moving up the food chain now onto State government.
