A few photos from a big day, September 23rd, the Conahan sentencing in the morning and the Blogfest at night. This was the media scene shortly after the Conahan sentencing. Behind all those microphones was Defense Attorney Phil Gelso.
Earlier in the day, I was at the Michael Conahan sentencing. Afterwards, WILK's Sue Henry decided to take this photo of me and the WYLN TV 35 staff. She dubbed us "Yonk's Angels". In this pose we have King's College Intern Kaitlin Falatovich, me, Ann Gownley and in the iconic Aaron Spelling inspired pose, Beth Mensinger. Thanks Sue!!!

Great post, Dave! Though I didn't actually have anything to do with organizing this event!
From what I saw of Casey Evans during his camaign, it does not surprise me to see him cuddle up to the Young Republican's Chairman.

SO? THE LATE MARTIN MURRAY AND T.NEWELL WOOD USED TO DIVVY UP THE PARTY SPOILS AMONG THE TWO VERY DIVERGENT PARTIES 40 YEARS AGO. THESE BOYS WERE EITHER ENJOYING A BEER TOGETHER OR PLOTTING TO DO THE SAME. MORE POWER TO THEM.
Yonk, you have got to be kidding, more power to them? There is a reason I'm a Democrat and seeing a person who claims to be a Democrat leader in such a situation would make Old Marty turn over in his grave. He had to play the game in Harrisburg but in the trenches, it isn't footsey games.
