Samantha Brick, a real beauty! 

VANITY THY NAME IS…..

Every man loves a beautiful woman. Hell, any man loves a semi beautiful woman. Okay, let’s level with each other here. Most men will follow any woman who will give them the time of day. There always was a hierarchy of women men can get. The unattainable, the attainable, the ones with good personalities and the 2:20AM last chick in the bar type of women. We love ‘em all, take our chances on all of them.  What type of women might men not find appealing? How about those with a detached sense of reality. This week a columnist for the Daily Mail talked about how tough life was for her..because she was soooooooooo good looking. Samantha Brick wrote, "Going through life as a "tall, slim, blonde" woman is harder than it looks, according to British columnist Samantha Brick, who has become the focus of criticism and ridicule for writing that her life as a beautiful woman has been especially difficult." Brick published an article in the Daily Mail  entitled, "'There are downsides to looking this pretty': Why women hate me for being beautiful." Brick bemoaned having to go through life as a beautiful woman, constantly receiving free champagne and wine from suitors, flirting with male bosses, and angering female friends and co-workers with her looks.
"While I'm no Elle Macpherson," Brick wrote, "I'm tall, slim, blonde and, so I'm often told, a good-looking woman. I know how lucky I am. But there are downsides to being pretty, the main one being that other women hate me for no other reason than my lovely looks."

First off, Brick is correct. She is no Elle Macpherson. Second, she isn’t that great looking. Brick says that men stop and buy champagne for her and make all types of offers. What bull. Most men, when they see a beautiful women don’t even talk to them because they think they are out of their league. It has been my experience that many beautiful women don’t get asked out because men are afraid of being rejected. (Something by the way that never bothered me).  And here's a secret, if you are a guy and want to score with a truly beautiful woman, ignore them. Act disinterested. All people have inferiority complexes, especially bombshells. Ignoring them first, puts you on an equal footing. I know it'll kill you inside..but it works. And if you truly hook up with a beautiful girl who is a nice person, great. If you crash and burn with a Samantha Brick, that was one unanswered prayer that was good news. I hope Brick’s column was a satire but I think not. I believe she is taking herself too seriously. She isn’t that hot. When you have to publicly tell the world that you are burdened by your beauty,  you’re not. Inside and out. So when is beauty in the eye of the beholder? It is when the beholder, not the beholdee proclaims it.  All that said, this song goes out to Samantha.
