The LuLac Edition #2546, October 28th, 2013

IS IT ME, OR DOES THIS NOT PASS THE SMELL TEST?

This photo was taken this afternoon at Plains Solomon School. Is this improper solicitation (albeit passive) on District property by a candidate formerly employed by the district trying to be  a School Board member?  This just looks sooooooooooooooo wrong.
I don't know about you but I like this sign a lot better!

FIRST, THE CONGRESSMAN'S OFFICE IS RUN BY SOME VERY GOOD PEOPLE. A FRIEND OPF MINE, A VETERAN HAS BENEFITED FROM THEIR HANDS ON HELP.
SECOND, WHERE DO YOU THINK I GET THE INFORMATION FROM? THE CARTWRIGHT PRESS OFFICE IS RUNNING NON STOP SENDING THE INFORMATION OUT. I CHOOSE TO PUBLISH IT JUST LIKE I DO SOME OF CONGRESSMAN BARLETTA'S. I'D DO SOMETHING WITH CONGRESSMAN MARINO BUT THEY HAVE SENT ME NOTHING.SO WHAT I WRITE COMES FROM THE CONGRESSMAN'S STAFF.
THIRD, TIMES HAVE CHANGED. DAN FLOOD AND TO A CERTAIN EXTENT PAUL KANJORSKI WERE IN THE PRESS BECAUSE NEWS DIRECTORS THOUGHT IT WAS NEWS. BUT NO MORE. IRONICALLY, WE HAVE MORE TV NEWS THAN EVER BEFORE BUT LESS IN DEPTH COVERAGE.
THE NEWSPAPERS ARE SHRINKING IN SIZE AND IN CONTENT. THE CONGRESSMAN'S STAFF IS SENDING NEWS OUT BUT AS THE OLD SAYING GOES, YOU CAN'T LEAD A HORSE TO WATER.
THE LACK OF COVERAGE OF A CONGRESSMAN IS NOT A STAFF PROBLEM ON THEIR END, BUT A MEDIA PROBLEM.
BUT YOU CAN BE SURE THE PRESS HOUSE WILL BE FULL BECAUSE CARTWRIGHT ACTUALLY HAS THE GUTS TO DO A TOWN MEETING ON HEALTH CARE.
ONE MORE THING, REMEMBER THE OLD "DAN FLOOD REPORTS FROM WASHINGTON" AND THE HUGH SCOTT REPORTS? THEY WERE ONLY 5 MINUTES AND EVERY TV STATION RAN THEM. NOT TODAY WHEN YOU CAN GET BIG BUCKS FOR INFOMERCIALS.

RIGHT. BUT IF YOU WANT DOUBLE DIPPING FORMER SCHOOL EMPLOYEES MAKING POLICY, GIVING OUT JOBS TO RELATIVES OF POLITICIANS, NOT HIRING QUALIFIED MINORITY CANDIDATES, THEN YEAH, IT'S ONLY A SCHOOL BOARD RACE. HOW 'BOUT HELPING ME PAY MY PROPERTY TAXES FOR THIS SORRY ASS SCHOOL DISTRICT? OR CHIPPING IN FOR A FRUIT BASKET TO THE GUYS HAULED OFF TO JAIL.
