TOM MARINO SLAMS THE MEDIA
Is this guy aiming in the wrong direction of history? (Photo: Marino website)
Congressman Tom Marino defended his personal pick for President Donald Trump. Marino blamed the media fixation on Trump’s recent troubles implying that the liberal media was out to get Trump.
Marino posited that the fight between Trump and deceased veteran
Humayun Khan’s parents was being stoked by the media. Predictability Marino blamed Hillary Clinton for the death of the soldier because she voted to invade Iraq.
A few questions here, Clinton voted along with others but did she make up the strategy?
Was she in charge of the war?
To blame Clinton just goes to show how little this man knows and how partisan he is. But here’s the kicker quote:
“The left is desperate because they know all too well that among her many foreign policy blunders, Hillary Clinton voted to authorize the war in Iraq and supported it enthusiastically. If we had an ‘America First’ principal back in 2003, Captain Humayun Khan and nearly 4,500 other great young Americans would be alive today,” Marino said.
Marino should know that the President back then was George Bush. He was a Republican who led the county on a wild goose chase for weapons of Mass Destruction. Clinton was one vote. Marino really is showing a stunning ignorance of history.
Wow, and that district could have had Dave Madiera!

TEA PARTY ZEALOT GETS BEAT
Tim Huelskamp (Photo: Rollcall))

So in a primary this week, one of the big mouth do nothing Tea Party Congressman,Tim Huelskamp got beat in his primary. How in the world would a candidate who had the reddest of district get beat?
Well you see Huelskamp forgot the most important lesson of all. He most likely didn’t follow the advice of Tip O’Neil the late House Speaker who famously proclaimed  all politics was local. Why listen to a stinking Democrat, right?
Well this guy’s district is 90% Rural. And in 2013 he voted against the farm bill because it allowed for for food stamps. Now food stamps were drastically cut but this Tea Party zealot voted againstthe bill anyway!
IT WAS HIS FAULT.
But now the Tea Party thugs are blaming Paul Ryan for the loss.
Maybe if they stay as stupid as Huelkamp, the Tea Party caucus will just go away.

Philly.com’s Karen Langley reports that Gov. Wolf said Tuesday that state agencies saved more than $156 million in the 2015-16 fiscal year through a cost-cutting initiative.
Shortly after taking office in 2015, Wolf directed his cabinet secretaries to find ways for Pennsylvania's government to do its work at a lower cost. He named the office with the responsibility of cost-saving: the Governor's Office of Transformation, Innovation, Management, and Efficiency.
"We need to make government run more efficiently," Wolf reiterated at a news conference Tuesday. "We can't simply say we're going to do less with less, we actually have to do more with less." On Tuesday, his office said the Department of General Services saved state agencies more than $68 million in the 2015-16 fiscal year on purchases of goods and services. It said the department's consolidation of outgoing mail services will save $2.5 million each year.
The governor's office also listed $500,000 in annual savings on transportation from the Department of Corrections, and $100,000 each year from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
