The LuLac Edition #3286, August 28th, 2016
State Representative Aaron Kaufer had his kick off fundraising event this afternoon from 1 to 4 at Wyoming Hose Company #3 and had a really good turnout. The event was sponsored by various Kaufer backers.
Surrounded by friends and family, Kaufer was introduced by State Senator Lisa Baker and outlined his plans to continue to serve the 120th district.
Kaufer's Legislative initiatives include expanding job creation and economic development, and making Pennsylvania more job friendly for the businesses and corporations that create them. He also plans to focus on eliminating the school property tax burden placed on Pennsylvania’s homeowners. That one folks.... is a biggie.
Kaufer had a bill that passed making certain that Welfare recipients in the state would be cross checked so that they would not be collecting money elsewhere in neighboring states.
The event was very well attended and gives Kaufer a good kick off for his re-election bid.
Was very happy to see an old friend, Jack Schumacher from Kingston at the event. Jack served as one of the Original members of the Luzerne County Government Study Commission. Jack also was a good friend of a family member, the late Wilkes Barre Policeman Bryson Wardle and worked in the Assessor's office with my uncle Timmy Pribula.
Always great to see Attorney Bill Urbanski at the event. Urbanski was an active GOP Chair and serves as an Assistant DA in Susquehanna County.....Very happy to meet the daughter (Molly O'Connell) and grand daughter, (Luzerne County Assistant DA Linda Phillips) of the late Legislator Frank J. O'Connell.......GOP stalwart Santo Agati made the scene.....very glad to see Lynette Villano, Vice Chair out and about. Our deepest condolences to her on the loss of her husband........and on the way out I met new Chair Ron Ferrance who stopped by to put the icing on the cake of a great event.

Yonk, great story on Mr. Kaufer. Glad you attend GOP events. The Dems had a big one yesterday, how come you weren't there?

IN RESPONSE
I go where I'm invited. The Luzerne County GOP invites me to everything. I swear to God, if it weren't for the late Jim McNulty, Matt Cartwright, Cassandra Coleman and Bill Vinsko I'd have no idea what events were going to be held on the "D" side.
The new Dem leaders Tom Shubilla and Beth Gilbert are good but the organized party is well, not very organized when it comes to outreach outside of their cozy inner circles.
