KELLY ANNE AND MY GIRL MADONNA

IN DEFENSE OF MADONNA
Madonna (Photo: Time)
Wow! Right wing Republicans, anti feminist women and Trump supporters are making a big deal over Madonna saying at the march that she wants to blow up the White House. Was it an incorrect remark? You bet. Did it draw attention away from the millions of women that marched world wide?
Unfortunately yes.
But here’s the thing. Madonna is being criticized for making that one snarky remark and Donald Trump can call Carly Fiorina homely, he can make vicious comments about Rosie O’Donnell and one of his beauty contestants and that’s fine.
I stand proudly by Madonna. By the way, these are the charitable organizations she has contributed to. Maybe Trump has given to these too but we’ll never know it because he hasn’t released his tax returns.

KELLYANNE CONWAY’S ALTERNATIVE FACTS

It has become evident to me and the rest of the country that KellyAnne Conway can’t give anyone a straight answer. She talks in circles and it is annoying and dizzying to watch.
I have been told I am a bullshitter.
I have known a bullshitter or two.
But never, ever to this degree.
And juxtapose this with Madonna’s comments. I don’t agree with what Madonna said. But unlike Kelly Anne Conway, at least it was a declarative statement one could understand.

john gotti was charitable. she made statements that could incite and inspire violence against the office and residence of the president and all who work and reside within.
funny who you opt to give a pass.
i wonder if you would be so quick if limbaugh made a similar statement involving obama's white house

So giving money to charitable organizations cleanses you of vile, immoral or anti-social behavior? Your Catholic right? Didn't learn anything from Martin Luther's posting on the church door?
Your alternative facts apparently Trump mine.

Sorry Kelly was too far over your head. Maybe she should have said they used "over-nuanced" facts.
You have trouble understanding Trump too.
It seems you pick and choose who you try and understand. Kinda like that irritating kid in the back of the class when you were substituting: "I don't get it Mr Yonki. What's a complete sentence?"

Madonna reminds me of my crazy Great Aunt Gertrude. We took Gertrude to Hickory Run State Park park once for a picnic. She wandered off. After an hour of frantic searching, we found her sitting at a picnic table with some hip-hoppers trying to talk jive. We tried to catch her but she raced off across the park, climbed a tree, and started barking at a bird's nest. As far as I know, Gertrude is still up in that tree.

It would appear that the violent rhetoric is starting to inspire threats against the President's people. It is sad that you condone, almost participate in, this type of violent, seditious, rhetoric. It is one thing for Steve Corbett, who has become so unhinged as of late I am expecting his heart to give out on the air, to act like a barbarian, but he is nowhere near your intellectual equal, you have always been a nuanced commentator, but lately, whether it is anger, shock, disbelief or all three, you have not been the reasoned blogger to which many of us were drawn more than 3,400 editions ago. Simply because the President acts as he does, does not mean you should lower yourself. And it really doesn't mean you should condone visions of violence against the structures or people of our government.

He's smart. Way better at articulating the issues than I am with my God damned nuances. Obama nuanced everything and look where that got him.

IN RESPONSE

You're kidding, right? After 8 years of threats against Obama, outright racism and obstruction, Madonna is a threat? I said she was wrong.

Simply because the President acts as he does, does not mean you should lower yourself. And it really doesn't mean you should condone visions of violence against the structures or people of our government.

IN RESPONSE

"Lock her up", "our military is a disaster", "black people live in ghettos" "the carnage in America".
Really?

Quite simply:

"Lock her up" - that's what we do to people who let our top secrets out. No one is above the law.

"our military is a disaster" - last time we kicked ass, chalked up a win, and moved on? Germany, Japan. We don't even declare war anymore except if it's military against social norms.

"black people live in ghettos" - been in a ghetto lately. How can you not see how blacks have been handed that housing environment.

"the carnage in America" - Chicago. You have railed against guns as the basis of all this. Carnage can also be a metaphor for the condition Obama left us in. BTW: some spineless Republicans share this metaphor responsibility.

Comey said he had no proof. But then he interfered and got his reward. While Trump was screaming about the e mails...the Russians were doing his bidding.

"our military is a disaster" - last time we kicked ass, chalked up a win, and moved on?

IN RESPONSE

We tried with Bush and he moved on right? Then Obama had to clean up the mess. That disastrous military is helping in Iraq as we speak.

How can you not see how blacks have been handed that housing environment

IN RESPONSE

Not the blacks I work with and who are in my neighborhood.

Carnage can also be a metaphor for the condition Obama left us in.

IN RESPONSE

Yep horrible carnage. 89 months of job growth, marriage equality, credit card reform, no concentrated terror attack on our shores, killing bin laden, affordable health care for millions, regulations that help not hurt the environment and a dignity befitting the office.
One man's "carnage" is another man's fair assessment of just what went on in America.

Since when do you allow the limited personal history of an individual to support such a lame response?

Personal history needs to be cited because if we are to believe or as his supporters say, "take literally" the guy who won, all minorities live in squalor, all Mexicans are rapists, HRC is weak and a liar (when this guy has shown how hurt his little feelings become and lies right to your face while the film is rolling behind him) and all the other stuff he said.
Lame is not defending what you know, lame is still supporting a guy who is clearly bi polar and out of control.
That's lame.

The only thing your comment illustrates is that the blacks you know appear to share the same cultural background. Hence the result.

I'm sure no one you know is a black living in any of the WB projects.

Madonna. I remember the first incarnation of the material girl, with all the lace and slutty behavior. So many girls in their late teens and early 20's emulated her look and behavior. It was great ****ing those sluts, but sometimes the armpit hair was a little gross
