The LuLac Edition #3405, January 15th, 2017

KING @ 88
Today would have been the 88th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior. King was the non violent leader of the Civil Rights movement in the 1950s and 60s. One has to wonder what he'd make of the great divisions we have in this country today.

MLK is lucky he's got a big piece of marble on top of him. If he ever saw how things are now days, he'd probably get up and run the hell away!

Yep things have gotten considerably worse
African Americans are leaders of business and government.
African Americans have a place in network news, including anchoring a network nightly newscast, still one of the most esteemed jobs in journalism.
African American athletes have not only earned money through sports, but are now becoming entrepreneurs and creating businesses and jobs.
African Americans are political analysts and commentators. (except at WILK)
Oh, and the country elected a man of mixed heritage, who's father was directly from Africa.
I wonder if in his dreams, MLK would have actually thought any of this possible as a man of color in the 1960s.

If Dr. King were alive today, he most likely would be a victim of one of Mr. Trump's tweets.
