Donald Trump is decrying the fact that the Press tells lies, yet it is Trump himself who has stoked the lying machine. Plus he has guys like Rance Priebus perpetuating that myth.I'm sharing this little tidbit from Facebook from this past Sunday.
White House Chief of Staff Rance Priebus said to ABC News this week, on reports Trump is considering opening libel laws that would restrict press freedom:
"When you have articles out there with no basis or fact, and we're sitting here on 24/7 cable companies writing stories about constant contact with Russia and all these other matters...."
Stories with no basis or fact are troublesome for Trump? He intimated that. No, really, he did.
Lest we forget:
Trump's repeated claim Obama was born abroad.
Trump's repeated claim of having the largest inaugural crowd in history.
Trump's repeated claim 3-to-5 million Americans illegally voted, costing him the popular vote.
Trump's claim the U.S. murder rate is the highest its been in 47 years.
Trump's claim Philadelphia's murder rate is steadily increasing. (It has actually decreased steadily over the past 10 years.)
Trump's claim the the highest taxed nation in the world. (It ranks in the bottom third.)
Trump's claim President Obama wiretapped Trump Tower.
Trump's claim the FBI and NSA tell Congress Russia did not influence the electoral process.
But he wants to chip away at the First Amendment.
