TRUMP'S PREVIOUS 911 REMARKS

Yesterday President Trump gave remarks on the 911 anniversary. As President that was his duty and responsibility.
But one should never forget about his 911 remarks from last year where he belittled and made fun of his opponent because she had a fainting spell. His behavior was childish, boorish and inhumane.
A few questions. Would you tolerate this behavior from a child?
A friend?
A neighbor?
Donald Trump used a person's momentary vulnerability to raise doubts about her physical fitness for office. That should have sounded alarm bells for HIS fitness for office.
Yesterday was a day to honor the brave and the dead of 911. A day that should never be forgotten.
Trump's behavior last year should not be honored or embraced but definitely NOT FORGOTTEN. (BTW, I'm not litigating 2016 either, just pointing out a fact that is not fake, were his own words and actions).
This is the real Donald Trump who leads us. If he can make fun of a person's ILLNESS like this in public, what must he be like in private?
The words that Donald Trump used yesterday were from a script.
In this video, these were words and actions from his very soul.

blah blah blah... you are using 9/11 to attack and question someone you don't like. You are trump lite, you use his tactics, his actions and his demeanor. You and he, are both cut from a similar cloth, or course his much more expensive and handed to him while yours may be less expensive, but it is earned.

So no matter what Trump does, you'll drag up the past, even if he's moving in a better direction.

Hope your windows are clean because that stuff can come back and bite anyone at anytime.

No matter how crass, Hilary Clinton's health was, as is Trum's, fair game.
Politicians lie as a matter of course. Hillary had what appeared to be a seizure. Whether it was or not, it probably wasn't, does not preclude the questions being asked.

Dave, I was thinking the very same thing when I thought of him presiding at 911. I was wondering how he was going to bear up with all of his "friends" who died and wondered if he was going to announce whether his AG was going to round up those cheering Muslims from 16 years ago in Joizee City.
If he weren't so sad, he'd be a joke.

This man has no credibility and I personally cringed when I saw him yesterday.
I'm yearning for Mike Pence. And I'm gay!

I just have this feeling that now that summer is over, Yonk is going to get very, very revved up.
Go for it man.

IN RESPONSE

No. I've tried to give him a chance. But let's not erase this horrible behavior. If he can yell "lock her up" and make fun of her illness, that is classic bullying.
Sorry it makes you uncomfortable but this is who he is.
Notice that on 911, I did not make this point. I gave him unfettered attention with no commentary.
I could have gone another route and brought it up like Cable News did Monday night.
Thanks for your opinion.

Boy is your memory short. He had this doctor that looked like he was dragged in from a carnival side show and the media never did a deep dive.
But he made FUN of Clinton. Marching like a drunken fool trying to make a point. No one DOES that. Little kids might do it once but then are reprimanded.
She answered more questions than he did about her health.
My point was that he was mean and ignorant. People say, "But he's not a real politician Dave". Did Perot act like that? Did Ralph Nader? Did Steve Forbes?
NO!
You cannot justify this man. People need to remember what got him here. It was nothing good and has proven to lesd to nothing good.

IN RESPONSE

Nope, wrong. The cloth I am cut from does not make fun of sick people. I grew up in a family of nurses who used their skills as well as compassion to heal, not belittle.
My cloth is cut from living in a neighborhood where there were challenged kids. Woe to anyone who dared mock them.
I have a family member who is disabled. He is not pitied nor is he felt sorry for. He is just another person in the family who is accepted.
My demeanor is like Trump's? See you think that because I call him on his behavior that it makes me like him. How twisted is that. I am merely pointing out that this man never had a serious health issue or concern.
His brother died and was an alcoholic. Boo hoo. He has never been tested because of his charmed life. No one has ever called him out. In my small way I will.
I will never let people forget or justify who he is.
You don't make fun of a sick person. Period. That's not a political rule, it is a rule of the human race.
Sorry to make you uncomfortable.
My cloth might be less expensive but I would NEVER EVER TRADE my upbringing and my beliefs for HIS.
No way, not ever!

IN RESPONSE

You are correct. Many times in my life, personal, family, work, sports, yes I was at one point an ass.
But in this, I am and will always be on the right side of history.
Sorry your itty bitty feelings are hurt by the truth.
But thanks for reading and posting. Brevity in opinions is no crime.

Hey 9:53am...

If Yonki wanted to use 911 as an excuse to go after Trump's ill advised theatrics, don't you think he would've done that yesterday?

Look out......
I'm glad there is at least someone out there calling out the Trump ites.
Love how you turn it around on Yonki when he shows you a video.

Yonki ...
First off my itty bitty feelings are not hurt. Your one sided and vicious remarks about any person who you deem a dislike for and are not agreed to from your obvious circle of cronies who read your column, seem to hurt YOUR itty bitty feelings. Go ahead and act like a child with your little rants to people who don't bend over and make a fuss over you. You are just a lower class same as version as Trump. Yes, I don't like him either, Nor did I vote for him, but you in your own little way are acting the same as that idiot! The power of the pen swings both ways, and I've noticed that some of your rants, just come back and make you look the fool. So, since this IS your column, get your last word of belittlement towards one of the multitude who do think you are an ass

IN RESPONSE

Well glad your feelings weren't hurt. Look if you think I'm one sided, that's your perception. I can say though that if Mike Pence were President, you'd never see the same reaction from me in terms of calling him guy out. Pence would never give me the opportunity. If you think what I write is unfair because of what was proven, what he said, well good for you.

Nor did I vote for him, but you in your own little way are acting the same as that idiot! The power of the pen swings both ways, and I've noticed that some of your rants, just come back and make you look the fool.

IN RESPONSE

My rants are not based on fantasy, they are reporting and commenting on what he did. Maybe it's harsh but no less than what his campaign did in 2016. It is instructive to see how one attains office and then how one governs. Right now Trump is trying to get a deal done with the Democrats, I will applaud him for that. But people have short memories and say, "Give him a chance", or "He doesn't know any better because he's not a politician". Sorry that doesn't fly and my rants (or opinions) are designed to not let people forget.
By not voting for him do you think that's enough to let him slide? Do the people on CNN (and by no means am I comparing myself to them)look like fools for calling him out? Everything I have written negatively came from HIM. My style might not be to your liking but that is a fact.

So, since this IS your column, get your last word of belittlement towards one of the multitude who do think you are an ass.

IN RESPONSE

When I started this blog 11 years ago and have consistently been here for that time, I knew there would be people calling me an ass. That comes with the territory. If there is a multitude of people who think that... Again.....
I can deal with that because they do read. And like you many do comment.
So my last word is that your points are well taken, if I was belittling you that will be taken into consideration and as always your feedback is appreciated.
One more thing, I do not need anyone to bend over and make a fuss over me. I have a handful of six good friends who prevent that from remotely happening by their honesty and barbs. I go to events (and pay, don't accept freebies) to get the lay of the land and find stuff out.
I will continue to do so and hope to hear from you often.
