The LuLac Edition #3996, February 1st, 2019

Why is Howard Schultz trying to re-elect Donald Trump? The last thing we need in this country is another rich businessman with no experience. The ego driven nerve of this guy is incredible in its audacity and hubris. Not content to run he slammed one of the early candidates Kamala Harris on her view on Health Care for all. What he said makes no sense at all and we see again a classic business bullshitter talking out of both sides of his mouth with no solution of his own. Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz took a shot at the health care plan proposed by Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) that would abolish private health insurance.
“That’s not correct, that’s not American. What’s next? What industry are we going to abolish next? The coffee industry?” asked Schultz on Tuesday during an appearance on “CBS This Morning.”
Schultz went on to say that he doesn’t agree with the desire from many Republicans who want to get rid of Affordable Care Act.
We’ve seen a “businessman” ruin this country once, now we don’t want his ego/vanity candidacy to give Diaper Don another term.

She tries to claim she's a moderate, but Susan Collins (R) voted with Trump 94% of the time in 2017.
And when it comes to votes that matter, Susan Collins almost always falls on the wrong side. She supported the GOP tax scam. And she vigorously defended Brett Kavanaugh against allegations of sexual assault.
The time is right to replace Susan Collins with a Democrat, someone who won't be a Trump toadie.
First, Collins helped Senate Republicans ram a brutal tax scam through Congress. That bill repealed parts of Obamacare and blew a hole in the deficit while giving billionaires and corporations a major tax cut.
Then, last year, unforgettably, Collins gave Brett Kavanaugh her blessing when she voted to confirm him to the Supreme Court. Immediately after her vote, the Judicial Crisis Network, a dark money conservative group that spent $5 million defending Kavanaugh, showered Collins with favorable ad coverage.
If there's one thing we know about Susan Collins it's that we can't trust her to do what's right when her party bosses and dark money donors come calling.

Well I never thought anyone could outdo President Trump in being a big baby but Roger Stone certainly is in the running. Stone is pissing and moaning about his arrest after 17 cars came to arrest him in a morning raid. This smug, self important thug will get his just rewards.
But oh my, he is comparing himself and his predicament to the raid on Bin Laden. Really? Bin Laden was a wanted man, gunned down on sight by a Seal team. For the ultimate bullshitter to make that stretch tells you what a little ugly piece of garbage this “friend” of Donald Trump is.

U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright announced the addition of the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies (MilCon-VA) Subcommittee to his House Appropriations Subcommittee lineup.
Cartwright will also return as a senior member of the Commerce, Justice, and Science Subcommittee and the Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee.
“My goal in this new role is to support the state-of-the-art modernization and renovation efforts at Tobyhanna Army Depot, as well as its increased workload of more than $150 million in projects from the last fiscal year,” said Congressman Cartwright. “Over 1,800 federal employees are at Tobyhanna right now, and more work there means more opportunities for the hard-working men and women of Northeastern Pennsylvania.”
The MilCon-VA Subcommittee provides oversight and funding for infrastructure and facilities development on all military posts.
“Keeping military bases up to date is critical to national security; keeping Tobyhanna up to date is critical for our regional economic security,” Cartwright added.
Other key DoD programs within the Subcommittee’s jurisdiction include military family housing construction and maintenance, base alignment funding, and NATO Security investments.
The Subcommittee also provides oversight and funding for the VA. It oversees and funds programs like the Opioid Safety Initiative (OSI), which helps prevent addition and improves veterans’ access to treatment for addiction. The fiscal year 2019 VA spending bill, which was enacted in late 2018, included the largest amount of discretionary funding for the VA in U.S. history. Other priorities in the VA portion of the MilCon-VA bill are programs that provide career training and education to veterans, physical plant improvements to VA health facilities, and research into health issues affecting veterans.
“Respect for veterans means funding quality care for veterans,” said Cartwright. “We’ve asked a lot from service members in both the 20th and 21st Centuries, and they rose to the challenge. We now need to meet their needs without waver.”
