1. What do you think about the Lt. Governor’s walking tour?

I think you meant Listening Tour. Two things, he has a relationship with his boss which is a good thing. The issue he is talking about, Medical Marijuana is topical and who knows, might be a major issue come the 2022 Governor’s race. Jon Fetterman is imposing, smart and engaging. As long as he doesn’t make a big mistake on the road, he’ll be an asset.
Governor Wolf thankfully has not had to deal with an emergency the way Governors Tom Ridge (911) and Mark Schweiker has. Wolf can trust him to do well if that happens.

2. How did you like driving in the Wilkes Barre St. Patrick’s day parade?

It was a great event and I was glad to do it.My passenger was Leah Amos who is a daughter of one of my co workers at The Kirby Health Center. She loved waving to the crowds as the Spinners blared out of my speakers.

3. Giving up anything for Lent?

Meat on Fridays and trying not to bash Trump. The first is easy, the second not so much.

4. Do you think the Democrats are over reaching by investigating the President so much?

No way. Do you think they are? Let me tell you what I’m telling my Trump lovers. You see a guy walking out his back door carrying a severed human head. You arrest him on suspicion of murder. Then you see in his back yard 7 bodies buried in his garden with all the heads intact. Are you supposed to NOT investigate the garden? Trump telegrapher obstruction of justice from the Lester Holt interview. As Joe Biden would say, “C’mon man!

5. What is your take on the Frank Scavo situation. Do you think they are right in saying he is not entitled for the position he is seeking, because of his comments he has made concerning Muslims?

Frank Scavo and I pretty much disagree on a lot. But he is n engaging fellow and has served in the Old Forge School District well. Unlike others he has put himself out there as a candidate on a ballot where voters judge him on his actions. No one is entitled to a position but Frank is qualified from a logitics point of view by serving as a State Representative in terms of Republican bonafides and policy. I mean there are a few in Harrisburg way to the right of him if you can believe it.
But what has happened is he has disqualified himself by Facebook posts that have hurt him socially and politically. I always tell my Republican friends who post stuff that is anti anything that Facebook is forever and you get judged by it. The judging on it is happening big time to him.
Scavo is in a district that is Democratically controlled so I didn’t expect a win last night. Anyone who has not been legally charged is entitled to a position in government despite their opposition to any group of people. Strom Thurmond is a perfect example. The voters make the decision. What happened with Scavo was his message got lost.
This is a valuable lesson for anyone who wants to run for anything and has a social media history.

6. The Phillies signing Bryce Harper. Thoughts?

My heavens! 13 years and all that money? There is a reason he was one of the last to sign. The Phils may have been better off to get some more pitching. A-Rod with all his money never brought a pennant to Texas, and Albert Pujols didn’t get The Angels back in the Series either. I think you’ll see the Harper signing may not get the Phils to the World Series. But the Phils have raised prices in the right field seating and sold more jerseys than ever.

7. Favorite Lenten meal?

Sauerkraut Broiled Pierogies without butter but served in a Cooper Cheese sauce.

8. Why do you think the GOP focuses in on Alexandra Cortez so much?

Since Bush Vs. Gore the Republicans demonize. AOC is easy to attack because she is everything most Republican s are not. Young, passionate, successful and not willing to go along. Will she flame out? Maybe but the more the GOP attack her and distort and cherry pick her positions, the more thinking Democrats and Independents rally around her. The more she is attacked, the worse the GOP looks because they are only appealing to a base of people rapidly shrinking.
She is the future and the GOP just can’t deal with that because they have embraced impotence and inaction.

9. Two 70 something candidates for the Dems. Bernie or Joe?

Bernie isn’t a Democrat. Biden even at his age is the real deal and can clean Diaper Don’s clock.

10. What are the parallels between Michael Cohen and John Dean?

Well they both turned against the man who employed them. Their testimony was riveting. Both have been characterized as snitches or rats.
Both have given long testimony to the U.S. government.
But here’s the difference. Dean was President Nixon’s Government lawyer. He spoke of a cancer on the Presidency. Bad.
Cohen was Trump’s personal bouncer, enforcer and bag man. He had nothing to do with the government but rather the nefarious operations that was/is The Trump organization., Very bad.
John Dean made Richard Nixon ultimately resign and be one of the most vilified Presidents of his time.
Michael Cohen’s may not result in Diaper Don’s resignation given the climate we are in today. But he will certainly earn Trump the distinction of being the worst human being ever to hold the office.
In the long view of history, Dean made Nixon seems like an angel compared to Trump. And history COUNTS no matter what the Trump boot lickers say.

11. Out of all the things of Trump’s documents subpoenaed by Congress what is the thing you most want to see?

I might have wrote this before but I want to see the stupid son of a bitch’s grades. He attacked President Obama on the campaign trail, said he was a terrible student but I wonder just how smart this bully blowhard really was.

12. Hypothetical question Yonk. If you were Barack Obama, after all the bashing Trump laid on you, what would you have done? Has any past Presidential turnovers been tense?

To answer your last part first, yes. Herbert Hoover was not thrilled because Hoover was pissed FDR won, felt he wasn’t qualified for the job. When they were in the limo on Inauguration Day, Hoover shook his hand but refused to engage in any conversation with Roosevelt. FDR gave up and waved to the crowds with his hat gleefully while Hoover scowled.
Dwight Eisenhower sat in the limo breaking protocol and waited for Harry Truman to come out to the car to meet him. Truman was miffed not at the personal insult but because he perceived Ike’s snub as a shot at the office. So there’s two examples.
If I were Obama, I would have resigned on the night of the 19th which would take enormous news coverage away from the very needy Trump. Then have Joe Biden be President for a day and deal with the clown.

13. What did you think of the prank played on Trump supporters at CPAC who were given Russian flags to wave with Trump’s name on it?

After Diaper’s vicious campaign, this is minor stuff. But it goes to show you how breathtakingly unaware many of his supporters are about history. Dumb and dumber.
