BIDEN RETURNS HOME

(Photo: Times Leader)

As the son of a railroader, I remember vaguely riding passenger trains to parts of NEPA with my father. Rails are something that can actually help this area. But the same naysayers who didn’t want the Arena, didn’t want hockey or baseball will pour puss from  their mouth and demean the idea. Why not? They demean the guy who grew up to be President from their own hometown. That stated here’s a link to the President’s visit from Times Leader reporter Patrick Kernan. https://www.timesleader.com/news/1519117/biden-comes-home-to-pitch-infrastructure-investment

The morons of NEPA were also out during the visit waving Trump flags and spreading lies like true Trumpazees always do. Here’s Jim Lockhood’s story fro  The Citizens’ Voice.

THE MANCHIN SWITCH?
Enema and Mansion, third rate Hamlets

Word is out that Joe Manchin is mulling over changing parties. Here’s my strategy. Give him EVERYTHING he wants now. The other  non entity who dresses like a third class hooker too. Let them dumb down the Infrastructure bill and get the votes.

Then work like hell in states like Pennsylvania and Ohio to get Democratic Senators. Get a new majority without these self proclaimed third rate Hamlets. Then when you get the power with REAL Democrats, ignore Manchin, and ignore the non entity that acts like an addled 1940s housewife.

Then kick them to the dustbin of history where they can suffocate silently and let others who care about people do the jobs they so woefully failed at.

THE SHAME OF THE SENATE

 (Photo: The Nation)

2021 will go down in  history as the year of shame. No Republicans voted for the Freedom to Vote  Act that would protect our democracy. These spineless cowards are making it more difficult for Americans of all stripes to vote. They have refused to vote for any meaningful protection of the right to vote. A GOP led Supreme court stripped the Voting Right Act of 1965. These little piggies have said NO to democracy.

It’s time to not only say no to them but politically destroy them. But that’s only a dream because Democrats don’t have the balls to fight. The filibuster needs to be broken because GOP Senate leadership and their rtactics would even give Mafia bosses pause.

So shame on the Republican Senators for acting like the unpatriotic pussies and shame on those Democrats who let them do it.

THE HIGH PRICED SENATE WHORE

What is the non entity who dresses like a homeless hooker, what is her game? She is down on her knees to the rich and says "screw the middle class". Politico reports that as they seek to finalize President Joe Biden’s social spending plan by the end of the week, Senator Enema of Arizona  remains opposed to one of the party's chief goals of raising tax rates on high-income earners and corporations, a long-sought objective since former President Donald Trump signed his 2017 tax cut law.

Now, party leaders are working behind the scenes to target the wealthy and corporate America without crossing what increasingly appears like a red line to Enema, according to Democratic lawmakers and aides following the bill.

Though Sen. Joe Manchin  has advocated raising rates on high-income earners, corporations and capital gains, Enema  has landed to the right of Manchin on tax policy. And Democrats need to choose, quickly, to keep trying to convince Sinema or to craft workarounds that she can accept.

REP. CARTWRIGHT: BUILD BACK BETTER ACT COULD SAVE TYPICAL PA FAMILY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN CHILD CARE COSTS ANNUALLY

Representative Matt Cartwright (Photo: LuLac archives)

As October Child Tax Credit tax cut payments hit the bank accounts of nearly 100,000 Eighth District families today, U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright (PA-08) highlighted a new analysis by the House Committee on Education and Labor showing that the Build Back Better Act could save Pennsylvania families thousands of dollars in child care costs each year.

The Committee’s report found that the typical Pennsylvania family of four with one infant in full-time center-based child care would save $10,370 each year. The typical Pennsylvania family of four with one infant and one child in full-time center-based child care would save $20,530 each year.

“We have a chance to build on the tax cuts for working families that we enacted in the American Rescue Plan by making them permanent and lowering the cost of child care,” said Rep. Cartwright. “This bill will provide a strong foundation for kids to succeed, as well as economic security for more parents to return to work and share in our growing economy.”

Under the Build Back Better Act, no family would pay more than 7 percent of their income on child care. Families making 100 percent of the State Median Income or less would pay no more than 2 percent of their income on child care, regardless of the number of children they have in child care.

The legislation’s child care investments, which the House Education and Labor Committee advanced in September, would give families greater financial security, allow more parents rejoin the workforce and help grow the economy.

SENATOR CASEY STATEMENT ON FAILURE TO ADVANCE FREEDOM TO VOTE ACT

Senator Bob Casey (Photo: LuLac archives)

U.S. Senator Bob Casey released the following statement on Senate Republicans blocking debate on the Freedom to Vote Act.

“Across the Nation, lawmakers have introduced over 400 voter suppression bills in state legislatures. Our Democracy is under siege and today, for the third time this year, Senate Republicans voted against the Senate from even debating legislation to protect voting rights. The Freedom to Vote Act would protect access to the ballot, end partisan gerrymandering and enhance our electoral infrastructure—commonsense measures supported by Americans in both parties. This bill is historic, but it’s also a compromise. Senate Republicans could not bring themselves to vote for the most foundational protections for our sacred right to vote. Today, they voted against voter access, election security, and diminishing the dominance of dark, corporate money in our politics. They also voted against provisions of my own bill, the Accessible Voting Act, which aims to create an accessible voting experience for every voter and ensures the voting needs of the disability community are part of the conversation.

“Let me be clear: At the core of voter suppression is white supremacy. For our Nation’s entire history, there have been efforts to disenfranchise and restrict access to the polls for eligible voters, and especially for Black voters. Our democracy is under attack, and we need to keep fighting to ensure all Americans have a say in their government,” said Senator Casey.

GOV. WOLF: PENNSYLVANIA IS READY FOR FEDERAL AUTHORIZATION OF COVID-19 VACCINE FOR CHILDREN AGES 5-11

Governor Tom Wolf (Photo: LuLac archives)

Governor Tom Wolf today issued a statement on the Biden Administration’s preparations for the COVID-19 vaccine authorization for children ages 5-11.

“In Pennsylvania, the vaccine is our strategy out of the pandemic, and Pennsylvanians are doing a tremendous job of protecting ourselves and our loved ones by getting the COVID-19 vaccine. We should all be proud of how far we have come since the beginning of the pandemic as another milestone is upon us – the vaccine authorization for children ages 5-11.

“Today, the Biden Administration released their plan to operationalize vaccination efforts for our children upon authorization. This plan furthers their support to states and confirms their commitment to ensuring this rollout is done properly. We are ready in Pennsylvania. Vaccine providers are prepared to safely vaccinate our children, and to protect them against this deadly virus.

“The light at the end of the tunnel is shining brightly and we are all ready to be on the other side.”

As of October 20, 70.8% of Pennsylvanians 18 and older are now fully vaccinated, and vaccine providers have administered more than 13,400,000 total vaccine doses. Pennsylvania is ranked 6th for first doses administered nationwide.
