OUR TAXPAYING MONEY TAKEN BY CRUEL MEN  

 

Northeastern Pennsylvania has a storied history of Congressmen that has been in touch with the needs of business, middle class and less fortunate among us. Congressmen like Flood, McDade, Musto, Nelligan, Harrison, Sherwood, Carney, Barletta. Kanjorski. Holden and Cartwright actually advocated for the needs of their voters.

The common denominator was compassion. Sure they all had divergent interests, some had to tow the party line at times, key words here are “at times” but no one went out of their way to screw their voters and trade the needs of the constituency for the whims and grievances of an infant con man disguised as a President.

They never consciously went out of their ways to disregard  their voters and essentially put their interests before the working man.

They never boldly carried the billion-gallon container of lies and mis-truths to a gullible public who they are conning to meet their own ambitions.

NEPA’s treacherous tandem has shown their true colors by allowing Congress to take allocated money away from medical and intellectual needs.

They approved a Trump administration plan to rescind $9 billion in previously allocated funds, including $1.1 billion for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) — a move that cuts all federal support for NPR, PBS and their member stations — and about $7 billion in foreign aid.

The vote of 216-to-213 included all but two Republicans in favor of the cuts. The bill goes next to President Trump for his signature.

Immediately after the vote, NPR CEO Katherine Maher issued a statement calling the cut an "irreversible loss" to the public-radio system. She said the effect would be "an unwarranted dismantling of beloved local civic institutions, and an act of Congress that disregards the public will." 

"Public funding has enabled the flourishing of a uniquely American system of unparalleled cultural, informational, and educational programming," she continued, "and ensured access to vital emergency alerting and reporting in times of crisis — all for about $1.60 per American, every year. Parents and children, senior citizens and students, tribal and rural communities — all will bear the harm of this vote."

Locally WVIA TV & FM have made appeals to listeners appraising them of this action taken by these two millionaires who used the medium to get elected in debate performances that were as phony as a $3 dollar bill.Now in power, Public Media has become as disposal aas a cocktail napkin in their country clubs. 

Then there is the issue of a President Bush program that has saved 25million lives worldwide. Now with this funding cuts, there are fears of an AIDS resurgence

Today, many babies are born infection-free to mothers with HIV — the U.S. State Department says PEPFAR has been responsible for 5.5 million such births — and most people around the world no longer see an infection as a death sentence.

Leave it to Trump who killed at least half a million Americans by his inaction on CO VID and these two rich boys to not care about lives. The abrupt U.S. aid cuts have health officials in developing countries warning of a return to the early days of the AIDS pandemic, when drugs were nonexistent or severely limited and clinics were filled with the dying. PEPFAR was launched in 2004 in response to those grim scenes.

Also known as the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the program has partnered with nonprofit groups to provide HIV medication — including the preventative PrEP — to millions around the world. It has strengthened national health care systems, cared for children orphaned by AIDS and provided job training for people at risk. It has played an important role in testing for and tracking HIV infections.

This Republican party, especially the two that represent this region are collaborators in making American children dumber and killing off the rest in the world.

These two are morally responsible for this un-Christian,  UN-American and short sighted bending at the knee to their god.

It is time to take the gloves off and conclude that no matter the press release, the sheen they want to put on their records, these two don’t give a rat’s ass about the people of this district.

Start today to defeat these sycophantical men of means with no morals at all.

Let me be very clear! This money was approved and appropriated  by Congress. Now it is being taken away. In effect, when you think about STOLEN. If you take something away that's already, by law, been given, then the only thing to conclude was that it was stolen. Bresnehan and Meuser are REVERSE ROBIN HOODS. Take from the poor and steal for their class and their wanna be king.
