WALTER ON THE HUNT
Does anyone in the Luzerne County Courthouse actually think anything gets by Walter Griffith? The Times Leader reports Walter is looking into information that said he received a complaint from a sheriff’s office employee that a former worker still has a security badge to access the building after hours. Griffith said he was also surprised to learn some members of the media have security badges, and he is urging the administration to ensure badges are stripped from non-employees. The cards allow holders to bypass metal detectors and, depending on the level of security clearance, provide access to parts of the courthouse that are not open to the public. Look, you can't pull anything over on this guy. He has his eyes open and is the ultimate watchdog. Plus people give him information, whether it be to improve the county or whether they have an ax to grind. But whatever the reason, the info is accurate and he is not shy about rooting out the rot.
BC CUTS MANAGEMENT
Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania has cut some management jobs and moved a few people around to other departments. This is the second personnel shift in 14 months. Last year BC let go of more than 90 employees (of which I was one) to as some people in the building explained "to right size" the organization. The BC job board has had a paucity of positions open since the last layoff. We wish those affected well because as you know, I've been down that road.

Is there a position in the county for nit-picking? It would be nice to see real issues being looked at. We have almost 500 million dollars in debt and we are spending our time looking for who is getting $10 bucks they don't deserve. Watch the penneys and the dollars float away.
Mayor Tom looks like Lex Luther from Superman.
I think that ridiclous picture of you in front of our Blessed Mother is sacrireligious. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Is that a Beatles tie? It matches the BVM.
Yonk, pay no attention to 8:14. Obviously he is absent of all virtue. I think you look good and your honest, wholesome character shines.
IN RESPONSE
Is that a Beatles tie? It matches the BVM.
YES, "COME TOGETHER".
My God! I have a hot dog from ABE's that looks like the picture of you and Mary...
If I hadn't bit the head off it would be on eBay as we speak! ;>)
MD
i think you look positively charming in that picture with your Heavenly Mother. How could anyone call that sacriligeous? Must not be a Christian.
RE: BC CUTS MANAGEMENT
I'd love to see a list of names for a cheap laugh. I do believe in Karma. Yes, I am the "bitter" ex BCNEPA worker. Bitter for all the right reasons. Family always should come first before any job.
