PARTY ON GUYS

Luzerne County Republicans will host a Victory Party from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Genetti Hotel & Conference Center, 77 E. Market St., Wilkes-Barre.
Special guests are Congressmen-Elect Lou Barletta, 11th District, and Tom Marino, 10th District. Beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served. D Charlie Hayes “The Commander” will provide music for dancing. Cost is $15 per person; $10 for Club GOP members. Anyone who joins Club GOP at this time will receive free admission. For more information, call 570-208-4671 or e-mail:
events@luzernegop.org or go to the website, http://luzernegop.org/
The local GOP worked their butts off in this General Election. They fielded a slate of articulate candidates that ran credible races. The fundraising efforts were creative and engendered a lot of excitement. (Rick Arnold and James O'Meara assured people that their pizza parties were low calorie. Okay, I'll buy that!) What the local GOP need to continue to do is recruit candidates but also change registrations. With Home Rule passing and a new government coming into being, the Democrats will no longer have the franchise anymore. Plus the chair of the Home Rule Commission, Jim Haggerty has an office festooned with pictures of Ronald Reagan. Despite what the current Pronthonotary says, Home Rule can be very good for the future of the local GOP. Enjoy the victory lap guys and get ready for 2011 when there will be more than 5 Judicial races on the ballot.

Just an FYI... Although the Republicans worked their butts off, their job isn't done yet. They still have to pick up their campaign signs that they left all over the place. They are now considered litter and they should be held responsible for their cleanup. Isn't it funny how Before the election, they're all kissing our asses, but After ... not so much as an acknowledgement for the public's votes and support. Just just goes to show their real inner workings. Probably just an indication of the future with any of them.
Really disgusted with the whole damm bunch of these phoneys.

The "New" Bush is the same as the old Bush. Still lying his ass off and refusing to accept responsibility for anything! The deaths and injuries incurred by American Patriots are on his head and he will forever have blood on his hands. As a Vietnam Veteran on the eve of Veterans Day, I can only say may he and Dick Cheney rot in hell along with Robert McNamara!!!

David: The average cheese pizza has 230 calories per slice. I encouraged folks to have just two slices.

But I worried they might still be hungry, so we cut our 12-cut pies into 4 slices. Lo and behold the 2 slices worked out just fine for most folks.

Oh, and we had diet soda.

Have to run now and nibble on some carrots. For some reason my cholesterol is through the roof.

Speaking of Toomey/Barletta signs, they can ick up at least a half dozen on 315 by the Dupont entrance to 81 and if they get down to the Pittston By-Pass, they can grab about a dozen at the K-Mart traffic light. Good job guys! By the way, now that Bush has published his book and confessed that he personally ordered Water Boarding it is very possible that he will be tried for war crimes. He would not be the first prosecuted for that crime, it has been done several times. My only hope is that Cheney goes down with him. As I sat and listened to this jerk, I couldn't help saying a little prayer that our military who fall into enemy hands are treated with more kindness than we treated our enemies. And the American people and Luzerne county voters want this gang back in power. Unbelievable!
