MAYBE I'M AMAZED

Maybe I’m Amazed……that the GOP in Congress took so short a time to show their hands and true colors. Stopping unemployment benefits right before Christmas is so much in the spirit of this current Republican party who are hellbent on eliminating the middle class. They won’t be happy until they change the name of this country to the “United States of Potterville”. (Note to vapid Young Republicans with no clue as to pop culture or history and who think history began on the day they were born: “See “A Wonderful Life”.
Maybe I’m Amazed……….that Jessica Simpson has found another unemployed loser to marry. No pre nup, and she even bought the ring for herself. Why can’t me I have met women like that when I was on unemployment.
Maybe I’m Amazed…..that I heard a college student (male) commenting on the alcoholic energy drink “Four Loko”. Was he talking about the ban of it in some states? Was he warning other teens not to drink it? No, he was telling the interviewer that he was going to the store to buy four pallets of it so he can have it in stock just in case it gets banned. That supply should last until New Year’s Eve.
Maybe I’m Amazed….that after another big layoff at my old Alma Mater Blue Cross this week, they are still advertising heavily on TV and Radio and doing phone blitzes to member’s homes (Mrs. LuLac just got a call) inquiring about her wellness. Now when I got laid off from Blue Cross, they were very empathetic and helpful. Classiest place I ever got booted from. But hearing that commercial on the radio as you are driving to a job interview can’t sit well with the newly minted bunch of workers “right sized” from “Cross”. And by the way, Mrs. LuLac hung up in the middle of the automated message. Jeez shouldn't’ have said that, they’ll raise her premium. And when they do, the Republicans will blame it on Obama!
Maybe I’m Amazed….that the average turtle can’t reproduce until they are 25 years of age. Yeah, teen pregnancy is God’s big joke on all of us. Or maybe bad parenting.

Maybe I'm Amazed......that over 3 billion cups of tea are consumed every dai in the world.

it is the dems who power based is increased as people become more. by cultivating a reliance on the state, by keeping people poor or putting them into poverty, they maintain their power. as the middle class changes, many enter into the "rich" bracket under republican admins. but we don't want to ever talk about self reliance now dow we.
freedom and opportunity to succeed also carries the risk of failure, but liberals want to remove that option.
it is sad, because our failures help improve us as people.
all you have to do is check out low income housing to see the detriment of the liberals plans, but to the liberals they are voters, reliant on gov't for everything.

Dear Comrade Yonki,
"From each according to his ability, to each according to his need"

I find it incredible that the after Communism failed in the former Soviet Union there are many like yourself who wish to try it here in Amerika.

After 2 years when does unemployment compensation become welfare and then an entitlement? It isn't about whether we should help our fellow man, it is whether it should be mandated by the government. Is it really fair to have employers shoulder the burden of paying their employees and increased WCE premiums and taxation to pay those who do not work?

Perhaps, it is time to stop looting from those who produce and earn just to give it to those who do not.
When did the United States government become a bunch of looters during a black out? Well the answer is easy, under FDR. The depression was the perfect excuse to expand government and begin the dependent class. LBJ's great society continued and enlarged this communist manifesto. After the continued expansion of government that has necessitated increased taxation and spending, is it right to continue Robin Hood economic policy?

Maybe I'm amazed that there are those who continue to push for redistribution of wealth instead of attempting to create their own.

Maybe I'm amazed that people believe we should continue a policy that creates a permanent dependent class.

I have always been curious why liberals vilify the rich. How many jobs do poor people create?

Evolution, the religion of the left, claims and admires evolution, then why not allow natural selection to takes it course?

Health care is not a right.
Food, clothing and shelter are not rights.

All America ever promised was the opportunity to try and succeed. However, now if one succeeds the government will be there to take their unearned cut of another's labor and toil

- Nothing in society will belong to anyone, either as a personal possession or as capital goods, except the things for which the person has immediate use, for either his needs, his pleasures, or his daily work.

This one is quite what Yonk and the bunch want:
- Every citizen will be a public man, sustained by, supported by, and occupied at the public expense.

- Every citizen will make his particular contribution to the activities of the community according to his capacity, his talent and his age; it is on this basis that his duties will be determined, in conformity with the distributive laws.

In Morelly's native tongue
Mort à l'individualisme, will "Death to Individualism" replace the Land of the Free?
