MEDIA MATTERS

SAT NIGHT LIVE

Tune in this coming Saturday night on KRZ FM 98.5 when Shadoe Steele broadcasts his last show on that station. I’ll be honored to be the guest from 9:15PM to 9:50PM talking about my new book “Weather Or Knot”. Steele’s show will then be broadcast on WILK AM and FM starting on Dec. 4th.
Here are a few of Shadoe's most frequently requested songs, "Rocky" by Austin Roberts.

And how about this classic:

Then there was Wayne:

Then there was "Laurie"

Shadoe takes these timeless oldies as well as a whole lot of other better songs with him to WILK AM and FM next week. He might even play The Who.

SUNDAY MAGAZINE

Coming up this Sunday on Sunday Magazine, I will be speaking with Dave Gervasi and John Judge from the Scranton Firefighters Union about the proposed 2011 budget cuts, and what they mean to the department, and public safety. Sunday Magazine airs Sunday morning at 5:30am on JR 93.7, 6am on 97BHT & 97.9X, 6:30am on Magic 93 and 9:30am on WARM 590 AM.

When is somebody...anybody...going to rememeber that Scranton voters approved a recovery plan several years ago that is suppose to cut into the union fat and let administrators run the city.It would have been in place by now were it not for the union's fights. Unfortunately the union's greatest friend,Joan Evans, now has control of council and,as always, wanks to sink any plan put forward by a mayor who has done everything possible to bring Scranton into the modern world.
She's got plenty of time to plan her battle since she is still on 'disability/ from her rough job as a school teacher. When you speak with the firemen's union spokesmen be sure to ask about the fireman who was able to crawl in and out of his stock car racer while on his city disability...oh...wait a minute. He's the brother of one of your guests and is currently facing arson charges!
