The LuLac Edition #1394, Dec. 5th, 2010

IN FOCUS

Yesterday was a successful day at the Barnes and Noble store at the Arena Hub Plaza in Wilkes Barre Township. We met a lot of old friends and made some new ones. It was particularly gratifying to see my old media buddy Kevin Jordan http://kevinjjordan.blogspot.com/. / stop by as well as Joe Valenti from Pittston Politics.com. http://www.pittstonpolitics.com/. Through the magic of Facebook I reconnected with an old student of mine, Karen Thiede Weinstein who came along with her husband. He and I discussed the 1964 Phillies collapse and then of courrse there was the list of the usual suspects. Thanks to one and all who came, visited and purchased my new book, "Weather Or Knot", as well as "A Radio Story" and "Legis Vitae/26 Rules of Life". Much thanks to Shadoe Steele from WILK "Saturday Night Live At the Oldies" and Sue Henry from WILK for their kindness as well as Donna Wench from Barnes and Noble Wilkes Barre Twp.

Anyone who has ever worked in a call center or anyone who ever worked at the place on S. Main which is now part of Wilkes has to read this book.
