We are going to try a little experiment today. Many of our readers are tiring of our regular Interview series. But in a poll taken by us, readers of LuLac wanted to keep the feature. To that end, since I spoke with no one interesting this week, we’ll introduce our “Last Saturday” feature which we will run on the last Saturday of the month.
On this day June 25th, here’s what happened in history.
Long-Haired Hare, starring Bugs Bunny, is released in theaters.
The final page of the comic Krazy Kat was published, exactly two months after its author George Herriman died.
The United States Congress passes the Mann Act, which prohibits interstate transport of females for “immoral purposes”; the ambiguous language would be used to selectively prosecute people for years to come.
Pope Cornelius is executed (beheaded) at Centumcellae.
The Diary of a Young Girl (better known as The Diary of Anne Frank) is published.
In 2009 Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett die on the same day.
Willis Reed, Carly Simon and Jimmie Walker the actor are born on this day.

So now I can't just relax and enjoy the weekend, I have to spend some time researching the death of Pope Cornelius and find out how such a thing can happen. The facts are floating around i the back of my mind but nothing is going to bring them to the surface ..... So I've got my work cut out for me. Thanks! Your Lunch Buddy
Yonk, that Mann act must have played havoc with you in your wilder days.
Okay, I'm not sure what I like better or least. You "interviewing" regular joes and us getting bored every weekend or......letting your mind just go loose and putting up some krazy (with due respect to Mr. Kat) stuff out of the LuLac gray matter. It's a toss up.
Maybe you should just take Saturday's off.
12:23 and 7:00 . How's bout you two just skipping weekend reading and submit something you think is interesting. Corbett has Open Mike Fridays so Yonk can have Free Pen Saturdays ........ it would be interesting to see what the complainers have to offer. OK David, I did my research and now understand the beheading. Thanks for a mind expanding weekend. When is Lunch?
I agree with 7:00. Yonk puts out a quality product. A day or two off a week isn't unacceptable. Besides, can you imagine the master censor giving up space for actual free speech?
