The LuLac Edition #3490, May 6th, 2017

LULAC @ 11

May 6th, 2006. It is eleven years ago that we began the LuLac Political Letter. Since then, we have published nearly 3500 editions, published at least 5 times a week and have garnered more than one million page views.
We appreciate the opportunity to do this. I want to take this opportunity to thank our readers, posters, the Google support team, our Media partners as well as well as my IT person, Mrs. LuLac.
When this blog first started, three individuals were very supportive in my efforts. Many thanks to Marc Cour of Wilkes Barre, Gort 42 (Benjamin Hoon) and John Webster for their technical advice.
Through the years we have evolved. Some will tell you it’s for the better, others will say for the worse. We have become more opinionated and some say even more partisan.
Let me address that issue. We will present Republican points of view. We will preview local candidates and issues and pledge to be fair. However, on the national scene with basic rights under attack by an administration that is focused on growing the 1%, and destroying the middle class, I can tell you we will be loud and unyielding in our opinion.
We will also use the platforms of Facebook and Twitter to call out alternative facts. It may be futile given The Lu and The Lac’s propensity for choices I don’t agree with but we’ll give it a try.
Additionally, we will not stand down and continue to call out the indifference to history and lack of knowledge by a President who is both reckless and needy.
On a lighter side, we will also be focusing on pop culture stories, pieces on historical events that were important to many generations of readers and try to lighten it all up once in a while.
As we begin another year, with the help of Providence and good health, we’ll be here.
We hope you’ll be too.
On to number 12.
