The LuLac Edition #1321, Oct. 5th, 2010
Last week we geared our poll question toward the lawsuit filed by Luzerne County against Lackawanna County over the Stadium and baseball club issue. I knew many of the players at the time who were instrumental in making sure Luzerne County got in on this exciting economic development venture for both counties. Luzerne County Commissioner Frank Trinisewski, the late Charles Bufalino who was then Luzerne County Solicitor, Attorney Richard Goldberg as well as County Chief Clerk Gene Klein all thought the 1 million dollar investment was something that would pay dividends for the economy. So it pains me personally to see this lawsuit filed. But through the years it was Lackawanna County's show and this new generation of county leaders feel it is is important to recoup something. Anyway, here are the results of our poll.
YES 88%
NO 12%
2. Should Luzerne County withdraw the suit?
YES 11%
NO 89%
