TOM AND FRANCES WOLF MAKE A STOP IN WILKES BARRE

Tom Wolf made a short stop in South Wilkes Barre Wednesday night and dropped in on a group of his most ardent supporters.
Your blog editor was invited to the gathering and had an opportunity to chat with both Mr. Wolf and his wife. During brief remarks, Mr. Wolf talked about the morning debate in Philadelphia saying that Governor Corbett responded to his assertion that Pennsylvania went from number nine in job growth to 46th. The Governor retorted with the fact that we are indeed 36th under his watch. When Wolf made the observation even the small children in the standing room only living room were doing the Math. Wolf once more billed himself as an unconventional candidate and observed that if households were run like the Pennsylvania budget, there would be a big discussion with the spouse who held the checkbook.
Wolf also talked about turnout. He said that turnout in India was at 60% while the spring primary election had about 17% turnout. The candidate said he wants Pennsylvanians to be invested in their future and that begins with participation in the process.
After his brief remarks Wolf had conversations with the attendees one on one. Mr. Wolf and I chatted about the morning debate in Philadelphia. Mrs. Wolf and I talked about her husband’s time at the United Way and the spirit of volunteerism.
Wolf then departed and spent the night in Wilkes Barre before resuming his campaign day tomorrow morning.
The impromptu gathering was held at the home of Bill and Paula Vinsko. Because of Mr. Wolf’s schedule the event was put together flawlessly at the last minute with the entire Vinsko clan lending a hand. Mr. Wolf was introduced by Mercedes Vinsko. Short remarks were also given by both Mr. and Mrs. Vinsko.
A word to those Wolf supporters who are just as strong and ardent as those in attendance tonight. Please know that those meeting Mr. Wolf in this quick, tightly scheduled visit represented your hard work, concerns and voice in support of this fine candidate.
By the way the last debate between Governor Corbett and Tom Wolf will be next Wednesday October 8th.
Candidate Tom Wolf, his wife Frances with Mercedes, Margaret Marie, Wil, Bill Vinsko and Paula Vinsko.
