The LuLac Edition 4,302, May 25th, 2020
The League of Women Voters of the Wilkes Barre Area will publish the 2020 Primary Election Voters’ Guide in the Citizens Voice on Tuesday, May 26th. Our usual publication date has historically been the Monday before the election, but with the move to mail-in voting, we thought an earlier publication would be more helpful. The Voters' Guide will also be available on our website http://wb.palwv.org for easy reference.
We are encouraging everyone to request a mail-in ballot by the May 26th deadline.
Why is vote-from-home the best option for voters?
* Pennsylvania’s 2020 primary election is on June 2nd
* Voting from home is safer for you and safe for the security of your vote.
* Voting from home has been found to increase voter turnout in both Republican and Democratic parties, so it's non-partisan!
Some very good work was done by board member Molly Tuzinski-Wright who gathered the information and made the necessary arrangements to publish early. I joined the League earlier this year and am looking forward to working with people like Molly.
This is after all, the 100th anniversary of the year women were given the right to vote! What better time to join this fine group in their endeavors.
If anyone is interested in becoming a member, here's their link: http://wb.palwv.org/join.html
LuLac will be publishing our Primary Election Preview later this week.
