THE GOP AND UNITY
We have a new President, a President that is the most prepared individual we’ve ever had in this country’s history. I’m going to love pretty much everything he’s going to do but for those who won’t, that’s fine. But the man is prepared and every myth the opposition threw against him, old, tottering, senile was smashed this week.
In the last seven days, the Trumpanzees have screamed, yelled and whined about the things President Biden has done in the last week. They’re mad because a stop was put to the border wall. They claim hundreds of thousands of illegals are going to come to America. Like RIGHT NOW they claim. Well, look Diaper Don killed of 400,000 with his slow response to the pandemic so I guess there’s room. Oops maybe not because those darn illegals, they aren’t the right color you understated. Then there’s the Pipeline out west which Biden said from the get go he was going to do. But I’m sure the people who are bashing him will lose all those jobs here. Never mind the jobs lost as their sainted GOP stalled COVID relief last year when real businesses here could have had a leg up.
Just indulge me one more word to the callers of WILK Radio. You want Schumer and Pelosi impeached but not Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Meuser Keller and Scott Perry who all tried to have the election results voided AFTER they nearly got their asses handed to them by domestic terrorists? You can’t impeach without crime and the only one Schumer and Pelosi have committed is putting up with nonsense from Trump voters. Oh we have to understand them, try to tell them we mean no harm. In most cases, Chuck and Nancy have to realize that's a lost cause.
Speaking of Impeachment, our last President will be tried in the Senate in a few weeks. Some of my GOP friends think we shouldn’t do that and have to unite the country to put the article he’s been charged with (inciting the attack in the Capitol) behind us. United we should be they say.
Curious I’d call it.
2012 to 2020-Benghazzi. No talk of putting it behind us when every single investigation of Republican controlled committees couldn’t being any charges after countless hours of hearings.
2015-2019: HRC’s emails: No talk of putting this behind us . Not one charge or criminal indictment after hours of hearings from Republican held committees.
The Republicans who put us through almost a decade of this nonsense now tell us that we should put the assault on the Capitol behind us to unite the country.
Yeah. Your President incites thugs to ransack the Capitol and threaten an assassination of a Vice President (who was one of your OWN!!!!!) and Speaker of the House. Then after order is restored they go and vote against the mundane counting of the votes that were upheld by 60 Courts.
Apples and watermelons folks. More deaths on the assault in the Capitol than in Benghazi. The support after the incident by sitting members of the House and Senate for the very reason this became an assault was sedition plain and simple. No one was ever KILLED by HRC’s server.
Bottom line is this: I do not want to hear another god damn thing about Benghazi or HRC’s e mails when this Republican party in one week criticizes a new President for trying to fix the things THE PEOPLE THEY SUPPORTED AND EVEN SAID THEY’D DIE FOR SCREWED UP.
It’s indd of like the arsonist lighting up a whole neighborhood and then criticizing the firefighters for the way they hold the hoses to put the damn thing out!
That is all.
CARTWRIGHT ANNOUNCES OVER $122 MILLION IN CORONAVIRUS RELIEF FUNDING FOR NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA SCHOOL DISTRICTS
U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright announced the release of $122,392,212 in federal funding for school districts in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Congress set aside $54.3 billion to go to states for K-12 funding in its Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER II Fund), which is part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, the coronavirus relief compromise enacted late December 2020.
“For almost a year, COVID-19 has disrupted our children’s education,” said Rep. Cartwright, a member of the House Appropriations Committee. “Schools are fighting to provide their students with uninterrupted and high-quality education despite these challenging times.
